This hotel was very charming with lots of character. It is perfectly located with an open air car park directly in front of it. It is also a five minute walk from the train station and very easily accessible to all the main parts of the town. It is beautifully run by its owner who made every effort to look after us and give us all the information we needed. Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of food and was good value for money. Our room was incredibly comfortable with every possible facility. The bathroom was also great and had a bath as well as a shower. We had a room at the back which was delightfully quiet so we could open the windows.

The room was clean and quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The owners were pleasant and friendly. There was a good bus service into the centre of the city but on foot it was a good 20-25 minute walk to the centre so l’Aiglon is not exactly centrally situated. However, it is a one star hotel and therefore simple and basic and that needs to be borne in mind in relation to this review.

Beautifully presented property offering a number of luxury rooms. Very peaceful location (a car is necessary). Sonia is a wonderful host and provided plenty of local recommendations and a very nice breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was luxurious. Highly recommended!

We were able to park right outside the front door of the hotel on the street which was a bonus. The hotel had reserved us a space in their small car park but it turned out that we didn't need it. Our rooms were large enough with a decent sized bathroom and nicely equipped if a little dated. The man on reception who greeted us was friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner and kindly made a reservation for us.
