I had room 6, and it was pleasant and comfortable.
Off street parking for 4 cars, quiet location in easy walking distance to the town center.
Good breakfast and very friendly staff.
The staff spoke fairly good English.
If I travel to Parthenay again, I will definitely stop there.

A beautiful old house at the top of a fantastic medieval street, we were made very welcome. There was secure storage for our bikes. Our first floor room was large and airy and furnished tastefully. Breakfast downstairs great, at a shared table, a chance to meet other guests.

Most places closed in evening very limited restaurants available. Ok for one evening stay. I stayed for two weeks on business trip and had to get away the weekend, a boring place to be . The fact that it was January didn’t help, everything looks grey and miserable. The town is generally run down. Some nice small village’s to visit but how many chateau and churches can you stare at. Simply not for me .

My trip was very time limited.
My trip was very time limited. I could have spent a lot longer there. For such a small town, it has a lot of history and even has a hypermarket. It was a bank holiday when I was there so much of the town was closed but it was clear it had much to offer. I would love to go back for a proper visit when time permits.

We liked watching the birds in the wisteria outside the window. Lovely greeting on arrival from host and his dogs. Breakfast was very pleasant with lovely croissants and jams. We took up all of the bedrooms with a group of friends, but I’m sure if other guests were staying at the same time it would have still been splendid. Since we took up all of the rooms I was able to look at all of the rooms and they all looked just like the photos. The entire property was amazingly clean and cozy. The location in the more medieval area of Parthenay is also amazing. Highly recommended!
