Very easy to find off the motorway. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, set around a pretty pebbled courtyard. Breakfast was standard, but filled a hole. Reception area was stylish, and tastefully decorated, but sadly only saw it at the time of check-out as the common areas and restaurant are closed on a Sunday. So we didn’t receive the full hotel experience. However, communication re self check-in was very clear and easy to follow.
The room was much larger than I had expected, which was fantastic. Well laid out with plenty of space for suitcases, etc. The bed was a great size, and very comfortable. Extra bedding and pillows were available. Loved that there was a bathtub, especially as the weather was freezing and we had a long drive prior to arrival. Staff were friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was very tasty. We enjoyed breakfast as well.
Its a lovely hotel in a convenient location for travelling back through france to thr ferry.
The rooms were a good size and comfy. Restaurant excellent - the restaurant staff were brilliant friendly and helpful.
V tasty food a d great value wine
The hotel has a lovely pool. We arrived at 7 and asked if it was open a d told it was not. But we saw people still there so used it.
Breafast was decent.
The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful! Nicolas also arranged an amazing champagne dégustation for us with a grand cru producer otherwise unknown to us (Simon Michelot) - amazing stuff. The town of Matougues is rather sleepy, but you're close to the Côte des Blancs and so many other great places. A car is practically necessary though. Nicholas's tip sheet is excellent...
The rooms were clean, but need an upgrade. The breakfast was a self service buffet with hot & cold food - good choice
The restaurant was good & accommodating for a 60th birthday
The hotel was located just off the motorway after a long drive from Calais
We will definitely go back as the staff were very friendly and supportive
Convenient stop off returning to UK. Very large comfortable bed. Restaurant on sight serving superb food, if a little expensive. Adjoining boulangerie providing usual excellent French breads, pastries and cakes for breakfast if you don't opt for the hotel option.
The hotel was adorable and a fantastic value for the money. We stayed in a family suite and the children loved that their rooms were in an upstairs room with separate twin beds. the reception and staff were very accommodating.
This is a real ‘find’ - a gorgeous hotel with a fabulous restaurant. It’s very popular with locals so book in advance. The staff are all very friendly and professional.
