The hotel despite being in the airport area was well laid out, with very pleasant outside terraces area. The room was spatious and comfortable. The staff were efficient and caring.
The shuttle service was punctual and fast, despite being very early in the morning.

Just needed to stay the one night to be at the airport for early flight.
Warm and sunny so sat outside the evening before at the sister Hotel Ibis pool and enjoyed a lovely dinner there too.
No restaurant/pool at the Ibis Budget but this sister hotel is just next door.
Rooms basic, clean and comfortable and staff were fun and friendly.
Ideal for early am flight. Would definitely recommend for this purpose.

Small town with nothing.
Small town with nothing. In the city center, we ended up in an area where Arab men sat in every cafe and drank coffee in the middle of the working day. We did not see women in this area. It was very disturbing.

Good value, restaurant and bar.
Good value, restaurant and bar. About a 15 minute walk to airport; important for very early flights. Nice helpful staff . A friend of ours went to check in next door at the blue IBIS, cancelled and walked over here and was pleased for a little more money. I did not explore the area or use the pool as I had an early morning flight.

Marignane is the armpit of Marseille.
Marignane is the armpit of Marseille. It is jammed between the airport and the brackish pond. Mosquitoes as big as wasps. Other biting bugs. But lots of marsh wildlife. Peaceful near the pond. Marignane has everything you need. Very industrial. Unlike Auvergne and France away from the coast. The Marseilleise drive like maniacs: always in a hurry, too fast, tailgating, and it takes a lot of getting used to the road signage. Good luck if you plan to drive into the city of Marseille! Better park outside and take the subway in.
It is a very pleasant hotel. It is very very quiet with carpets on the corridors and parquet (or imitation probably) in the rooms which is precisely as it should be. The staff are surprisingly nice and friendly. Of course, this is a place to stay when you travel the next day, this is not a good base for a city trip to Marseille which is relatively far and around the hotel there is nothing - other than the airport. The food is also good and so is the breakfast which starts very early so they think of you as a traveller.
Nothing
Staff absent from their post / reception desk in particular
Liaison between airport and hotel through allegedly available-upon-call shuttles totally blocked and unavailable
phone connection also blocked- ringing as always busy… for over 45’ while waiting at the hotels’ shuttles booth
Bedroom was not clean, suspicious stains on the walls, smelly pillows, shower alternating hot & cold every minute
Appalling food at the « Courte Paille » restaurant in the facilities
Never again
The staff was absolutely awesome. I needed some extra coordination to be able to get there as well as do some sightseeing on a Sunday and they really came through, retrieving my bags at a train stop and then getting me to the aeroport super early the next day! Plus, they had breakfast available at 4am! The comfort and great staff definitely exceeded my expectations for a bit of an economy hotel, compared to the others (and their pricing) nearby.
I booked for a one night stay to be close to the airport and wish I could have stayed longer. The room I was in was very nicely decorated and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional, real French style with fresh breads, yoghurts, butter etc. A welcome change from many hotel breakfasts nowadays. Unfortunately I was unable to operate the coffee machine-probably my fault! -so had to make do with a hot chocolate instead.
It's super close to the airport and even with luggages it would be easy to walk. They have a free transfer but personally, it would be a crime to start an engine for a short distance, unless you really need some help with walking with luggage. I don't understand why this place got this much of negative reviews but my experience was almost perfect. It's certainly a price/performance deal in Marseille airport surroundings.
It’s clean, new and what you expect from an ibis but it’s very very expensive for the location and with very poor options to get to the property it is better to book a hotel at the airport .. although do not expect to be able to get into the city as there are no real routes in and out and a taxi will cost you €100+~
The host was great received us despite the changes in our schedule.
The place is very clean, many commodities available.
Comfortable bed.
Excellent Air conditioner.
Cute terrace with a small table and chairs to chill out.
Location is 5 minutes drive to the Marseille airport.
The owner was very kind and accommodating since our flight was delayed and we arrived late. Lovely place. We found it with GPS OK. She let us leave our bags while we went into Marseille for a tour, which was nice. Enjoyed the breakfast, self-serve, but all you could want.
The hotel despite being in the airport area was well laid out, with very pleasant outside terraces area. The room was spatious and comfortable. The staff were efficient and caring.
The shuttle service was punctual and fast, despite being very early in the morning.
At Marseille Airport there are two Ibis Hotels one Ibis Budget. we chose the more expensive one
I fear to think what the Ibis Budget Hotel was like if our hotel was meant to be better. Sonin answer to your question is “NOTHING”
General condition of apartment - any signs of long usage term, location is great - literally two steps from center of Marignane, everything was clean. Cozy table with two chairs on the entrance in apartment.
The hotel is withing walking distance of the airport. The airport shuttle doesn't run until 5am, and I needed to walk to the airport for an early morning flight, but it was a nice walk with pleasant weather.
