Pretty standard stay, all things considered - but in a good way. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little small, and have everything one needs for a day or two. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good and, in my opinion, worth the relatively low cost. Check in is fairly seamless - you enter your booking reference into a machine at the front and they tell you a code to access your room.
This 19th-century hotel is surrounded by a 2-hectare park. It is 7.4 km from Bordeaux city centre and 6.8 km from Saint-Jean Train Station.

Great stay on the edge of Bordeaux - but one likely requires a car to get here. There is lots of parking outside and it is close to the Autobahn for easy accessibility. Getting into Bordeaux is fairly simple, as there is a regular (every 30 mins) bus that will take you to the main bridge over the river to get into the city's old town. The location itself is very nice, a very nice old chateau and a lot of open space on the grounds. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, a large clean bathroom, and everything else you might except - towels, extra blankets, a kettle, etc.
Breakfast was really good with typical French fare (baguettes, cheese, marmelade, etc.). Staff are nice and helpful and speak good English.
Overall, for the relatively low price, its definitely a place I can recommend for a weekend (or longer) stay in Bordeaux.

A lovely welcome, fantastic room with everything we needed after a 8 hour drive. Restaurant great food and lovely atmosphere. Couldn't rate it highly enough. Great breakfast to see us off for the next 10 hour journey.

By far our most welcoming hotel experience in a 3 week French driving holiday. Very comfortable beds, clean, spacious rooms and a delicious breakfast with some lovely produce grown on site.
The owners were extremely accommodating when regrettably we arrived very late, getting up from their beds to let us in when we were otherwise marooned with three kids. Despite this, the owner then graciously gave us a couple of breakfasts for free and packed us off with a couple of bottles of water and some sweets for the children.
Located in Bègles, ibis Styles Bordeaux Begles is close to Tramway and bus service offering direct access to Bordeaux town centre and the SNCF train station.

Although the hotel is rated as three star, we were impressed with many things:
1. Extremely clean room, I noticed that they changed my wife's pillow case almost every day, since hair colour stained them. They also changed the bed linen after about 3 nights
2. Very helpful staff. Although not all spoke English, they still assisted us with any queries even when we wanted a printout of our edited airline tickets, they printed them before we even asked for them!
3. Good food. This includes breakfast since they even had Nespresso coffee available, fresh real orange juice, and fluffy, creamy scrambled eggs, apart from the bread, fruit and other pastries. We had dinner at the hotel in two occasions, and the food, including the desserts were great!
4. Free parking available. Initially, that was the principle reason for choosing this hotel over others. It was very convenient for us.
5. A good working air conditioning system in our room which worked throughout the night. It's amazing that many hotels we visited either had faulty A/Cs or the hotels switched off the system at some point during the night.
6. The bed was very comfortable. Both my wife and l managed to get some good night sleep.
