I was so looking forward to staying in one of the quiet cottages in a garden setting as shown in the pictures of my booking. However I was put in a tiny room in the main hotel with a view of a busy road. It was smelly with cooking smells so I had to open the outside doors with the sound of traffic all night. The music from the restaurant downstairs came through the floor. They did turn the volume down when I asked. The advertised pictures are very misleading. There should be an option to guarantee a cottage when booking. I paid an inflated weekend price for a very mediocre room that was noisy. The rest of the hotel is very nice. I was able to store my bike in a shed.

Would have been nice to have a drink in the evening, but there was no bar and no staff, front door closed, lights off, reception unmanned no one about.

A warm welcome, Easy to book parking, the room was well presented with a very comfortable bed.
Dinner was excellent! The dining staff were very helpful and efficient and the menu was inspired. The chef deserves a Michelin star!
