We booked a table for dinner and the menu was really good. Better than we expected! And the wine list was extensive. The breakfast was also fabulous with plenty of choice and lots of fruit and croissants (huge!) of course.

The parking area at the rear of the hotel was crowded but we were guided to a parking site fairly near our room. Next morning there were still a lot of cars parked and this was reflected in the number of people at breakfast. The staff did a good job rushing around refilling food and drink, which disappeared quickly. The entire staff, starting with the man who checked us in and showed us to our parking, were pleasant and helpful.

The location is wonderful.
The apartments are basic but as we expected further price, we had no complaints There was a bit of a damp smell

We only stayed one night as we were en route elsewhere but we loved it. We found a lovely wine shop with helpful manager and also local produce. We also found a great bar and got chatting to the locals which was great. The market was on in the morning so we bought all our picnic needs there. One of our group went for a run down by the river and loved it. Highly recommended!

This was a lovely place to stay. we would return if we could one day. The swimming pool was really good. Large enough to do some serious swimming and lovely warm water. The town is nice but it was Sunday and rather quiet. we found a good place to eat a short car ride away. Our room was very clean and comfy.

Forges les Eaux is a lovely town.
Forges les Eaux is a lovely town. There are beautiful walks around the lakes & countryside.
The only problem we found was nothing was open. It was very difficult to find somewhere to eat. The town had the feel of a place closed down at the end of the season.

Small restful town in the country on the Avenue Verte London Paris (AVLP) that is a great place to stop for the night. We ate at very reasonable priced Chinese restaurant and had an excellent meal. Stay at Au Charme du Lac, Piscine and Spa was wonderful and flawless!

Quiet, very comfy rooms and great restaurant: very tasty dishes. Staff very friendly and helpful. At first glance the hotel didn't look that nice as on quite a busy road but the building extends a long way from the road and all the rooms are there so it's very pleasant and quiet. We could store our bicycles in a big shed at the back. We had very big and luxurious rooms for a two-star. Highly recommended.
My partner and I spent one night there and due to an alarm, and the roosters and animals of the farms aside, we couldn't sleep from 4 am onwards. Moreover, the staff of the hotel were rude, and they not even cared about the situation. After agreeing with reimbursing our money back, we have not heard anymore from them, and don't even answer our e-mails.
Friendly welcome, restaurant onsite with very enjoyable food in the evening, and an excellent breakfast before we left in the morning. The hotel is literally 'across the tracks', but not far by car, and if you want to walk into town there's a subway just outside the hotel that goes under the railway and leads right into the centre of town.
There is very small cozy town. It was very easy to.find our hotel. Our hostess Bekka waited for us at 17.00 and was very friendly and hospitable.
A room has plain size, very clean
King size bed with good madras and comfortable pillows. Parking is free.
If you love corporate style hotels this is not the place for you. Instead it is a homely welcoming quirky residence in a beautiful traditional manor house in the centre of town. We loved it.
Even though I can barely speak French, there should be at least one person who has some English. Many hotels have people with some additional language knowledge. Charming place!
Location close to lac was lovely but property was extremely hard to find. Online it looks like a hotel but in reality its a private property and not at all well advertised.
