A beautiful little city with enough to see in a long weekend...
A beautiful little city with enough to see in a long weekend. Lots of places to eat and drink. If you want to cater for your own food there are plenty of medium sized supermarkets and one large one. The old quarter is particularly pretty. Visited on Ascension weekend - 10-13 May 2024 - with lots going on: lots food huts in the centre selling the local cheese, and other local food produce. Excellent local marching bands and a large craft fair.

Lovely city full of life!
Lovely city full of life! Clean, safe, amazing restaurants, cafes, bakeries.
Great visits to the art museum (free!) and Cathedral (fee with a guide via QR code on your phone).
Just walking around the city gives good vibes.
Also a very big mall with food court in case you want to shop (or kill time on rainy days.)
Surrounding villages on the coast have amazing views and crazy high waves that crash into the cliffs.

The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain.
The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain. I have never seen so many council workers sweeping a city before, incredibly clean. A must visit for everyone. The architecture is incredible, old & new together but not clashing. Museums, art, history and great cafe/bars etc all within walking distance, no taxis required.

This is quite a large city with wide boulevards and modern business and shopping areas with a beautiful old centre at its core.
Good road and rail links for arrival and onward travel.
Old town and Cathedral are lovely areas to explore on foot. Excellent choice of restaurants and bars- traditional Spanish but also Italian / mediterranean cusine and some catering for vegetarians/vegans. Plenty of historic buildings and gallery and museums to visit.
Best experience- seeing a wedding party arrive and enter the Cathedral on Saturday morning- with traditional dress and musicians playing pipes and drums.
Sitting in the sunshine at a cafe watching the spectacle unfold. Followed by a late lunch in a cobbled, inner courtyard restaurant ,nearby. Perfect!

Oviedo is a very clean compact city easy to get around...
Oviedo is a very clean compact city easy to get around walking. There are many many restaurants and Cider houses serving excellent Asturian or European food at very attractive prices. The Menu del Dia in the reataurants of Calle Gascona ranged from 15 euros per person upwards which included bread and oil, starter, Main meal ,and dessert, with 2 bottles of cider and water, the quality of the food was excellent. Particularly enjoyed The Cathedral, the markets, the food market with great choice of cheese ,meats and fish and bread. San Francisco Park is beautiful to walk around any time of day or night and very safe. The city has a lovely ambiance.
We're doing this review based on the price, not the number of stars. This is not a 4 star hotel, but is very good value for money. The Wifi was great, the breakfast was pretty good, the beds were very comfortable. The shower was good with good hot water. There was a desk to work at and storage for our stuff. We had an outside window, with a shutter, so the hotel was very quiet at night. The location, though not central, was pretty much 15-20 minute walk from almost anywhere in Oviedo.
The hotel is spectacular, with beautiful architecture and interiors. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful and the central location is great for visiting Oviedo. We didn't manage to dine at the hotel restaurant, but tried the snack menu from the bar and the food was very good quality, so we would expect much more from the main restaurant. Booking to go back in the new year!
The apartment is an excellent stay if staying in Oviedo. Its very central and close to everything. Most places are easy to walk to.
We had a large car and used the local car park - 3 minute walk to the apartment. The cost of the car park for 5 days was EUR28. Its really highly recommended . The host was really helpful and accommodating for our needs
We arrived by car and the instruction the hotel sent us were perfect. We parked in a shopping center which was less than 50 m from the hotel. The receptionists were efficient and very helpful. The location is excellent. In 10 minutes you can be at the Cathedral, the main restaurant/cider street, the main park and many of the other sights in Oviedo.
Great location, right in the heart of the old town. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable with modern fixtures, and surprisingly quiet for a good night's sleep. The host, Maria, is absolutely fantastic, incredibly responsive, welcoming, and helpful, and really makes you feel at home. Easily our best stay in spain so far.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better for visiting and walking around Oviedo. The staff was friendlly and helpful with finding out about venues opened and closed. Breakfast was served at the Munia, the selection was very good and my morning coffee was brought to me at the table.
The bed was very confortable, the showet ppressure could be adjusted, and the room was a good site. We each had our own closets. The location was perfect and easy to walk to everything in the histórica center and 9 minutes from Calle Gascona. Hotel staff was very helpful.
superb location , very central to all of oviedo’s top attractions.
it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️and a half ⭐️ to be a 4 star hotel.
my single room was UPGRADED to a Twin bed 🛌 room. Thanks to the management.
Breakfast well deserved for the minimal price of €9
This hotel is recommendable 👍
I loved staying at Duerming Hotel, very nice and cozy room with clean bathroom. Convenient location that was easy to find and very much central. Staff was lovely and they let me leave my back for few hours after the checkout time. Paloma was great and helpful!
Excellent location, easy walking access to the old town and cathedral, eateries.
The room was clean and adequate, but a common criticism of many hotels in Spain in the lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room.
I totally recommend the place. The owner is really nice and professional. The hotel is really really well located, clean and quite. You can visit a lot of Oviedo just by walking in a really small amount of time.
Centrally located steps from the Cathedral and historic center as well as the "eat street" in Oviedo This is a cute (small), comfortable, fun little studio apartment, adequate for two people.
Close to train and bus station and in the heart of Oviedo. Walking distance to everything.
Clean and bright. Very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Washer/drier and large living room.
good price for a three star hotel five minutes walk from the historic centre. large, spacious room, perfect bathroom, everything you need for a comfortable night in Oviedo. top.
