A good size room. Bathroom was functional but the in-bath shower was a bit small. The breakfast offering was very good. The staff, especially those at reception, were exceptional. The old town of Figueres was delightful.

Wonderful helpful staff- welcoming receptionist . Really excellent food. Normally I don’t expect much from hotel food but lunch and dinner were beautifully presented and had great flavour. We didn’t have breakfast. There aren’t any restaurant or cafe options within walking distance.
Set 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Figueres, Hotel Trave offers a swimming pool, free WiFi, free parking, and a traditional Catalan restaurant and Tapas Bar.

We only stayed one night at The Duran but very memorable.
Very professional friendly staff, a lovely hotel which even Salvador Dali used to frequent.
Large room, even bigger bathroom. Very comfortable beds.
We ate dinner in the Restaurant which has very interesting decor. Fine dining service, we had a set 2 course meal.

Perfect location. Everything else was also good. The only minus was, that you can gear when others take shower or use the toilet. Pipes seems to be poorly isolated.

Figueres is a slightly shabby town though perfectly friendly and people mostly come here for the Dali museum. Were stayed for a couple of days rest at the end of our long GR11 hike - its much cheaper than Barcelona! tbh though there isn't a lot to do here.

Very nice little town!!
Very nice little town!! People are nice , the restaurants are affordable, they had a really nice food market on Thursday morning! It was perfect!
Its a little town though so 3-4 days is long enough ;)
Be sure to visit the Dali Museum, it’s just unfortunate that the paintings are not better explained. An audio guide would have been appreciated.
The best churros were right around the corner from Duran Hotel!!!

I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it.
I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it. But Figueres is a pleasant and friendly town and I enjoyed exploring it. It is also a good base for visiting and walking in the surrounding countryside. I had a couple of excellent longish walks in the Serra de Rodes (on two of the megalithic trails) and there is clearly much more to explore.

Trip to the Salvadore Dali museum was excellent,
Food in some cafes inexpensive even in the main Ramblas area.
Visited the St Ferran castillo (N11A north of Figueres). English tours ob specific days of the week. In my opinion not suitable if walking is restricted. There is a 20 min overview in several languages inside. 5€ for standard enttrance. Guided tour 16 euros.

It’s better to go when it’s less crowded, around 12 it’s full of people so better to go earlier in the morning. It takes about 3 hours to observe everything.
If you plan on having a english speaking guide plan way ahead.

I was just passing through to the Pyrenees and it is a good destination to get to from Barcelona by train if you are planning to cycle the Pyranees as I did. The real only attraction in the town is Dali's museum which I never visited. The train from Barcelona is fast and stops only 3 times before reaching Figueres. It does seem as if it is used by a large number of comuters that live in Girona and travel the hour into the city every day so best times to travel areout of peak hours.
The hotel is very well run, with everything immaculately clean and tidy. The room is nicely renovated with high quality bed, pillows, linens and good lighting. The bathroom is spacious and everything was in perfect working order. The breakfast was very very good value, 6€ for a buffet with many options, both cold and hot food, fresh fruit and vegetables. The hotel also has parking attached which is very convenient and less expensive than alternatives in the area. The hotel far exceeded my expectations and I recommend to any travellers.
Breakfast was excellent: extensive choice of freshly cut fruits, cereals, breads, patisseries, yoghurts, cheeses, meats, and some cooked items.
The room was very clean and the hotel very smart.
Parking was under cover, clean and well lit, easy to access from the hotel, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre.
I was massively impressed with the cleanliness of the toilets within the parking garage, and found having these very convenient too.

The hotel I have already visited more than 10 times is always comfortable, clean and the rooms are great. Staff is always friendly and private parking is an extra PLUS. Maybe a bit noisy at the busy street but that is also good if you want to be on the road for visiting other places like Villafant, Rosas, Cadaques. Only 10 minutes easy walk into city cantre.
The room and bathroom were a great size and very comfortable. The hotel also had the best hotel breakfast that we experienced during our time in Spain. Lots of variety and yummy options! The location was really convenient and walking distance to most of the attractions. We could even see the top of the Dalí museum from our room.

It s location is very central but the room was on a quiet street. Nice rooms, nice decoration, clean bathroom…Parking is a bit costly but up the street from the hotel
Davinia the manager is so nice and helpful: a darling!
We had a nice stay. Free private parking in front of the property in definitely a plus. Staff is friendly. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. It is a short distance by car from Figueres.
Very well maintained. The staff is helpful and nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The outdoor space of the hotel is very nice. Good pool.
Restaurant with lot of great choices to choose from.
Excellent location: 10 min walk to the train/bus station, 8 min to Dali Museum, overlooking La Rambla. Nice narrow balcony. Very clean and well-cared for apartment. High ceilings. Comfortable beds.
