This place was large and clean. There were 2 bedrooms, 3 total beds, and (the best part!) 2 bathrooms. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and our late-night arrival was accommodated with no problem. The view from the front porch is of the main street of Palm Cove and the beach beyond. The beach sounds from our porch were great.

    A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore...

    A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore pricier northern beaches of Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. And definitely much quieter! A comprehensive shopping strip on the main street and of course not far from the large shopping complex at Smithfield. A few restaurant options available, including the yacht club. There is a bus service into Cairns CBD, but I would recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis are very expensive.

    Lovely quiet little town with excellent facilities.

    Lovely quiet little town with excellent facilities. Some nice cafes and the Boating Club and the Golf Club were welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the Boating Club which provided excellent service, and great food at very reasonable prices

    Unseasonable rain and windy conditions would be the only downside to the trip. Yorkys is a perfect spot for a family holiday. The location on the esplanade was close to cafes and local shops. Walking access to the beach is ideal.

    Golden sands is located on the beachfront, ideal for morning walks. Extra large bed was a total winner for me, so spacious. Management were kind enough to organise a coffee plunger for the room which I really appreciated, thankyou. We were pool facing, really gorgeous to wake up to with tropical trees and the pool. Resort is very quiet, guests keep to themselves. Yorkeys knob is a quiet village, however situated close to palm cove for eating out. Also positioned between cairns and the daintree which is handy if you are sight seeing.

    Excellent location, close to the beautiful and natural Yorkeys Knob beach. Peter, the owner, is a great person, always very helpful and knowledgeable in regards to all possible tours, which are being offered in the region. The beautiful property, consists of just 8 apartments in villa style, beautiful surrounded by tropical vegetation. A nicely shaped pool is just 20 meters away from all 8 apartments.

    This is a great spot for families with a car visiting the Cairns area. This hotel has a lovely heated pool, walking distance to an amazing playground. To the beach and to some shops for essentials. (The shops aren't that great but can get the basics) The beach is right outside as well, with a big path to enjoy a walk.

    excellent quality accommodation in yorkeys knob. beautiful comfortable apartments, very quiet and soundproofed, very safe, very clean, lots of facilities in the apts, fly screens, air con, wifi and above all excellent hosts. mandy & Carl were incredibly helpful kind and we really enjoyed our stay with them, many thanks!
