The location is perfect if you want to make the best of the Daintree Rainforest. Moreover, the place of the accommodation is beautiful, in the middle of nature. And finally, the hosts are very nice and the breakfast is delicious. I totally recommend!

CanadaThis is a truly lovely and unique spot in the lovely little village of Daintree. Our comfortable room overlooked the Daintree river so we had front row seats for bird watching and views to the lovely scenery. The outdoor shared kitchen with table to dine overlooking the river is an added bonus. Michael the host is super friendly and keen to share ideas to view wildlife etc. Incredible seeing all those flying foxes on the tree by the property. This was a very special place we will not forget.

Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. 4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. However, we changed our plans and stayed in Port Douglas which was close enough to allow daily trips to Daintree but had better - and better value - hotels, a choice of restaurants and so on.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!Guest review byIanP65Australia - 10.0

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. Highly recommended sailaway tours to Mackay Cay for a great reef experience.Guest review byGarryAustralia
