Evergreen Bungalows offers beachfront accommodation in Bwejuu. The property has a private beach area and bike hire and car hire are available. Zanzibar City is 37 km away. It was easy to find. I got there by bus and the stop was by the road that leads to the property. It’s beautiful. It has lots of seats for anyone interested in seating outside and read a book or simply work on your computer. And for animal lovers there are cats around that you can pet and a few friendly dogs. It is quite safe and right by the beach it looks really lovely at night with all the stars out.

Check in: Thomas the owner who oversees things personally, was kind enough to arrange for an early check in despite the short notice. He’s easygoing and friendly to deal with. Easy and straightforward process. They accept cards without giving you the looks (many properties in Jambiani don’t happily accept cards). You can use Apple Pay or Samsung Pay. The place itself: this is a brand new building with great finishing. The owner takes pride in his trees and the villa is surrounded by greenery inside it. There’s a pool, kitchen with a big new fridge for guests to store food, shower facilities next to the pool. There’s also a terrace upstairs with huge area for people who wanna have some privacy or do calls or just relax. It offers a nice 360 view of the village on all sides. The rooms: the rooms are quite modern and they are practically designed and equipped with everything you want. The ac was working perfectly and it was a relief in hot afternoons and nights (many properties don’t have ac or it doesn’t work). Really comfy beds (probably the best bed and mattresses I slept on in Zanzibar), a safe which is quite handy, a little desk if you have work, big washroom with great water pressure, everything in the room was brand new and working fine. The internet: I had couple of meetings and was suffering from the poor internet in other proper I. The wifi really saved me. The experience: the owner who was also staying at the property is warm and makes sure to check in on you and see if you need anything (the stay itself, directions, restaurant recommendations, etc.
