It's a wooden simple private cabin with a comfy hammoc Cahuita NP next door and in centre of town There is a kitchenette you can access fully stocked ...the fans in room are good enough to keep you cool as well as the bug netting around beds was nice

A huge light blue house with several rooms, beautiful ornaments, fans, AC, well equipped kitchen, wonderful wooden furniture, big terrace, free netflix, good wifi. I could not stop taking picutres of the place. The garden is also exceptionally beautiful, with several heliconias, bamboo, a small bridge,... agutis running around, poison dart frogs, many iguanas, birds, there even was a sloth in a tree. Nice pool. very close to playa negra. safe private car park. Friendly owner.

Delphine and Bert were consummate hosts, the breakfast extraordinary, and the aesthetic of the cabin, the pool, and the surroundings exquisite. Simple elegance, done with the refined taste of an interior designer and architect. Each choice, from the food to the furnishings to the burbling dipping pool attached to the cabin, was done with such attention to detail and with such care. We were surrounded by the sounds of nature, from the wild sounds of the howler monkeys to soothing sounds of more than a dozen different birds in the space of a few minutes (identified with Merlin, the Cornell Ornithology ID app). On one day, we were rained out of our adventure, but returned happily to the front porch of our cabin to read in the Adirondack chairs. We felt not only well-taken care of, but in the company of intelligent and worldly hosts. Passion Fruit EcoLodge merits our unconditional praise.

The pool is a great place to cool off after a day of exploring, and the breakfast is delicious and includes fresh fruit from the garden, eggs, and coffee. The owners of La Rana de Cahuita are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with various tropical plants and animals. The location is excellent, close to the beach and the Cahuita National Park.
