Right next to a little jungle with lots of wildlife. So beautiful to sit there and relax. The restaurant / breakfast place is open to this jungle and has a fantastic view of the volcano. They have 2 feeding stations next to the restaurant and you can watch all kind of birds feeding there. My highlight was a toucan who spent time feeding and sitting there. Beautiful pool area and little ponds to sit by and listen to the birds .

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Cecropia ecolodge and absolutely loved our stay. Jay and Nohelia are amazing caring people. It really shows how much they thrive living at their lovely place and sharing it with their guests. Jay does an awesome guided night tour and we were lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife. Nohelia cooks delicious meals. I had a bad stomach the day I arrived and they were kind enough to make some organic tea from plants grown on the property - super tasty and helpful. Situated in Fortuna, 14 km from La Fortuna Waterfall and 7.5 km from Kalambu Hot Springs, Las Pavitas Cottages features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and mountain views. this view is probably the best you can get, no other words than just breathtaking this is a million-dollar view for a good fair price. which when you are traveling with a family is great we had an amazing time, even when the volcano was in the clouds,the house was comfy to hang around in.

Situated in Boca Tapada, Boca Tapada Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and river views. The owner and the entire staff were extremely helpful. The owner even offered to pick us up (given the fact that the lodge is a little hard to reach by public transport). The location of the room is right on the river. Open-air toilet and shower for some extra jungle fever. Room is spacious and impeccable, with AC and fridge, and a view on the river. The food is also great. They put out some bananas every day near the viewing platforms to attract a wide variety of birds (even toucans). They also offer great tours (river tours, kayak, walking tours, etc)

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. The room was perfect and the terrace was amazing with a fantastic view. The pool was nice and the area was so beautiful with all the nature and the birds. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely come back again!
