With La Fortuna Waterfall reachable in 5.7 km, Arenal Xilopalo offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. The location was amazing. Right next to a little jungle with lots of wildlife. So beautiful to sit there and relax. The restaurant / breakfast place is open to this jungle and has a fantastic view of the volcano. They have 2 feeding stations next to the restaurant and you can watch all kind of birds feeding there. My highlight was a toucan who spent time feeding and sitting there. Beautiful pool area and little ponds to sit by and listen to the birds .

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

It really shows how much they thrive living at their lovely place and sharing it with their guests. Jay does an awesome guided night tour and we were lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife. Nohelia cooks delicious meals. I had a bad stomach the day I arrived and they were kind enough to make some organic tea from plants grown on the property - super tasty and helpful. Incredibly nice secluded location, were many comments about some difficulties with road, however last 14 kms are unpaved in very good condition, just go slower. Super nice and friendly staff. Impeccable clean. lots of birds and animals around. beautiful common rest area.

The room was perfect and the terrace was amazing with a fantastic view. The pool was nice and the area was so beautiful with all the nature and the birds. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely come back again!
