So beautiful to sit there and relax. The restaurant / breakfast place is open to this jungle and has a fantastic view of the volcano. They have 2 feeding stations next to the restaurant and you can watch all kind of birds feeding there. My highlight was a toucan who spent time feeding and sitting there. Beautiful pool area and little ponds to sit by and listen to the birds .

There are also 11 km of walking trails throughout the property, or guests can just relax in the hot tub or have a massage in the spa. Great place, nice view of the volcano, fantastic garden, very good walking trails.

The family that runs this business is the heart and soul of this place and welcomed us with open arms. Very peaceful place immersed in nature. Aboundance of wildlife, tasty typical food and not far from La Fortuna town. Cute, comfortable and clean cabinas. Bonus point: unbelievable frog (and more) tour in the evening !

Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

Jay and Nohelia are amazing caring people. It really shows how much they thrive living at their lovely place and sharing it with their guests. Jay does an awesome guided night tour and we were lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife. Nohelia cooks delicious meals. I had a bad stomach the day I arrived and they were kind enough to make some organic tea from plants grown on the property - super tasty and helpful. Anything we needed they were happy to help with. The owner even offered to pick us up (given the fact that the lodge is a little hard to reach by public transport). The location of the room is right on the river. Open-air toilet and shower for some extra jungle fever. Room is spacious and impeccable, with AC and fridge, and a view on the river. The food is also great. They put out some bananas every day near the viewing platforms to attract a wide variety of birds (even toucans). They also offer great tours (river tours, kayak, walking tours, etc)

The staff was really friendly and helpfull. The room was perfect and the terrace was amazing with a fantastic view. The pool was nice and the area was so beautiful with all the nature and the birds. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely come back again!
