La selva is a magical place Tucuchira is the best spot it’s located in the heart of the Amazon and close to indigenous communities. Part of the profit goes to the children of the communities. It feels really nice to stay in a place that shares the blessings with the Amazon people.

This place is a beautiful but rustic spot next to the Amazon river. The food was very good, usually fish from the river. At night the jungle birds and frogs sing you to sleep. It’s not a place for the squeamish, we had a tarantula on our ceiling, but the mosquito nets work well and you really get a chance to be surrounded by the Amazon rain forest. The tours they offer are very reasonably priced, but there are also plenty of places to just hang out and enjoy the nature. The common areas were very social and we had some great conversations with the other guests. Also, the staff was especially welcoming and made us feel at home right away. It was really cool to be able to talk to people who live in the Amazon and hear a little bit about daily life here. Overall, this was a huge highlight for us.

Escondido na floresta amazônica, o Omshanty oferece bangalôs e quartos com banheiros compartilhados a 11 km do centro de Leticia. I had a great stay! My cabin was super charming--rustic but comfortable. There were many birds, and occasional monkeys and other cool wildlife, passing through, which I enjoyed immensely. The restaurant on site was great for all meals of the day (breakfast was included, the restaurant was open to the public for lunch, and dinner could be requested), and the food was excellent. There were multiple nature reserves nearby, which were easy to walk to, as was Las Amazonas Balneario-Restaurant (swimming pool & restaurant).

O Hotel Amazon está localizado no coração de Leticia, a poucos minutos do Rio Amazonas, na fronteira entre a Colômbia, o Peru e o Brasil. The place is really nice and cozy. They have hot water and aircon which is a big bonus in Leticia. The breakfast is very good. Staff was very nice and helpful especially Judy. Location is nice. Not too far from the center but in the quiet area. Definitely recommend.
