Great safari camp setting in residential urban environment
Solitaire Desert Farm is truly a special place. Turning away from the main gravel road to the lodge is an experience by itself: a 7km-sandy way, surrounded by wildlife, guides you to an isolated location in the middle of nature, savanna plain and hills. The rooms are big and have all basic comfort. At night, the view of the sky and stars from the room terrace are absolutely breathtaking. All of the staff are very nice, friendly and warm people. And the food is excellent, as is the setting for dinner. This is Namibia at its best !!!
Everything was perfect. The place was beautiful and mega-clean, the staff were very helpful and kind and the food at the restaurant simply delicious. We stayed in one of their fixed luxury tents and we had electric blankets as it May be quite cold at night in the winter. The bathroom was so big and crean and the shower was massive! Price-quality perfect.
We checked in Late as we had some Tyre trouble. Rudy sorted us out with a new Tyre the next morning. What an awesome Location. The tents are fully equipped and the stay in the desert was amazing.
we stayed in the rooms and later in the luxury tents and both were great. the breakfast is lovely was wonderful and the restaurant had great food too. paw swimming pool was great although freezing in August! 😂
Agama lodge is relatively new. It is located in the desert and open surrounding where you can watch the sun coming up from behind the mountains and see the excellent sunset. It has great facilities, very good food and very friendly staff. We stayed in an executive room, worth it, spacious with an outside terrace and rooftop. The standard rooms are smaller, but also great, I think. All have much privacy. We went for a trip to Sossusvlei with the lodge, and the guide was very nice and knowledgeable. All in all, our stay was really great.
This is truly the definition of Home Away From Home. By far the best holiday in this stage of our lives: every staff member was utterly wonderful, genuine, kind, helpful and simply with biggest hearts. The chef is a winner, offering amazing meats as well as veggie options, and the spa treatment, yoga, safari drives and open fire storytelling made it better than a holiday, it made it the best experience. Couple that with the jaw dropping view and simply incredible amount of wildlife, and you have literal perfection.
The deluxe tent was well designed with the hammock and the extra large bed + mosquito net. The food and beverage menu was excellent. The fresh squeeze juices were particularly wonderful. The design of the garden bar area included many nooks and crannies for groups to hang out in a cozy outdoor environment. In the tent the lodge provided earbuds and coffee/tea/water.
