It was ideal for our travelling group (5 persons/3 rooms) for our two night stay. As it is 14kms from the town centre of San Jose de Maipo and, even considering there are a few dining options within 5kms, we decided to eat in and use the BBQ facilities. While this means going to the supermarket for essentials it was well worth it, relaxing on the deck with good Chilean wine. The owner, Christian, set the BBQs up and got the fires going (his specialty). The cabins are well appointed and the sound of the Maipo River is music to the ears. Communication with the owner is via WhatsApp and his responses were always immediate.

First, the hotel is a work of art, lovingly decorated with mosaic art, stone walls, carved wood, beautiful grounds and fountains. The rooms are large, with mosaic work, a huge walk-in shower, and a large bed. The staff is very nice, the breakfast delicious. Very good coffee. We enjoyed the hot tub, a drink from the bar, and the walk in Las Cascadas.

The property is very well constructed...I'd say the best we've experienced of any cabana we rented....and we've been here 2 months! The shower has hot, dependable steady water and the wood flooring in the shower is a nice Euro touch. Really, the nicest quality cabana we've stayed in.

The accommodations at La Casa de Carlitos will provide you with a patio and a terrace. pool was great....both of them! Breakfast and coffee was whatever I asked for, they provided. I used their hot tub, and it was also great. Many restaurants around. Completely surrounded by mountains. Wineries were 40mins away.

Staff were very kind and went above and beyond to meet our requests. The new owners are a family and are doing major upgrades after what appears to be years of neglect. While there is no hot tub at present, they are planning to replace the old large one with two small ones. Good food. Gorgeous views. Enjoyed picking and eating figs and apricots, too bad we were early for grapes. This is a great place for families!
