First of all, a huge thanks to the hotel owner Mehmet and the staff for their kindness and hospitality. The hotel was nice and clean, and the location was near the shops and the restaurants in the center. The breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. As of a note: Although it is relatively expensive, Hot Air Balloon is a must, once-in-a-lifetime journey for those who want to experience the mystical ambiance of the region!

From the moment I arrived via a shuttle which was arranged by the hotel, I was made to feel very welcome. Ali, his family, and all the staff were always smiling and very helpful in arranging tours and taxis. I was initially greeted by Ali with a cup of Turkish coffee while I was being checked in. Mart, the young fellow at reception was also exceptionally helpful. As a solo female traveller I appreciated how safe I felt not just in the hotel, but also in the surround village of Avanos. My room was simply beautiful and very clean. When I opened my drapes in the early morning I was greeted with the site of hot air balloons filling the sky. And don’t get my started on the breakfasts! This is not a time to count calories! Ali’s wife and daughter prepared the most delicious breakfasts. I usually wasn’t hungry again until mid afternoon. And the day I was leaving to catch an early flight to Istanbul they even made me a full breakfast at 6:15 a.m.! I was truly spoiled. What made my experience even more special was also the honesty and friendliness of the local people I encountered. I accidentally gave a taxi that drove me back from Goreme to Avanos 60 euros instead of Turkish lira. Ali, knocked on my day later that day to say the taxi driver came back to the hotel to exchange the money as he realized I must of made a mistake as the currencies are kind of similar. Where does that happen! And if you get a chance I highly recommend eating at the “Old Turkish House”, which is very close to the hotel. The food is reasonably priced, very tasty and the owner and wife very welcoming. I hope to return to Cappadocia one day, and if so, will stay at the “Underground Cave Suites Hotel”.

Offering city views, Mak's Cave House is an accommodation located in Uchisar, 400 metres from Uchisar Castle and 10 km from Zelve Open Air Museum‎. The hotel was very nice with big spacious rooms. The views from the terrace was amazing and breakfast was very tasty and fresh. What makes this place a good place to stay are the people who work and run this place. All the girls are lovely and especially the owner Ms Makbule. She is beyond amazing and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. Makbule has been so helpful with organising this trip for us. Her input has been very valuable. We truly felt we were part of her family. The people are so warm and always smiling. Well done to the whole team. We really enjoyed our stay

Situated in Goreme, 3.6 km from Uchisar Castle, Sarnich Cave Suites features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I liked EVERYTHING about Sarnich! The staff was very attentive from the moment we arrived to our departure. We received both early check-in and late check-out without any issues (probably because it was low season). The staff looked after our dietary needs at breakfast and cooked us custom dishes when needed. The location is near the city center so it's not loud but yet accessible to everything by walking to ATMs, the bus terminal, shopping district, restaurants and beautiful views of the valley! There are lots of unique restaurants nearby with excellent ratings and uniquely local menus. The room/cave was beautiful! It is extremely spacious with a really comfortable bed and furniture. The bathroom was huge with beautiful bathtub as well as shower that felt modern but yet quaint and cavernous. Probably the best stay out of the hundreds of hotel stays I've had in my life.

Located in Uchisar and with Uchisar Castle reachable within 600 metres, Pigeon Hotel Cappadocia provides express check-in and check-out, soundproof rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Everything was wonderful: the little town itself is much nicer than Göreme, the hotel is beatiful and authentic, gorgeous valley views, the room was super comfortably (the beds, the shower etc) and the owners cooked us wonderful breakfasts and dinners! much recommend it 🤗

Sincerely people, treat you as family. Love the garden, sitting on the grass and play with cats. Love the breakfast buffet and terrace. Definitely recommend others to stay.
