Xuanmai Garden Resort is a 15-minute drive from Pakse’s centre. Guests can enjoy their meals at the on-site restaurant. Gnoc was very attentive to all her guests. Great food and lots of resources. We rented a scooter, and she arranged for the bike to be brought to us. She also helped to arrange our transport to our next destination. This took any worries we had away about finding appropriate transport.

We booked the superior room and it really was worth the extra few bucks. You have a lovely private terrace with a magnificent (sunset) view of the Mekong river. Solid bungalows that don’t let bugs etc in. Clean. Aircon. Big room. - Staff is very friendly. Efficient check is where the owner shares all info you need, very helpful! - You can book tours, do laundry or order drinks, all at very fair prices. - Super location, quiet yet close to all the restaurants. - Private terrace comes with hammock, lovely.

DD Guest House, a property with a bar, is set in Pakse, 400 metres from Wat Luang, less than 1 km from Pakse Bus station, as well as a 13-minute walk from Wat Phabat. Great value for money, the host was very nice. Room is spacious enough

Pan guest house is set in Ban Donsôm and has a garden, a terrace and a bar. This guest house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. A very nice family run guest house right next to the Mekong with a view from the poolside deck downstream to the old French railway bridge. Our room was at the front facing the river and had a nice balcony with a small table and deck chairs. The large pool was kept clean the entire time we were there. The owner was warm and welcoming and has good English so was able to help with enquiries and onward bookings. She also produced delicious inexpensive home cooked Lao meals and had a good supply of essentials such as cold beer. This is really good value accommodation, not luxury, but perfectly comfortable and everything you need. We were booked to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 6. Highly recommended.

With river views, Chanhthida Riverside Guesthouse and The River Front Restaurant is set in Ban Khon and has a restaurant and a housekeeping service. The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

This place is awesome, it's far away from the town but that makes it more special. From here you can go easily to the other island and the waterfalls. The owner is really nice, always taking care of the guest and she even gave a bracelet at the end of my staying :) The bungalows are spacious and clean and the wifi works really good

Rooms come with a balcony with a garden or river view, a fan and a seating area. top location, very clean, air conditioning, super friendly staff, laundry was great and fast, quiet but still very central, balcony, river view… it was just really really good! would totally recommend!

Perfect guesthouse for a cozy stay. We appreciated the large room and the private veranda. The view from the verandah over the Mekong is simply fantastic. We would have liked to stay much longer. The accommodation is quiet and clean. The location is perfect: in the quiet part and yet not far from restaurants. It is possible to book tickets for onward travel. Boats pick you up directly from the guesthouse.
