Where to start? We could have stayed here for ever! The room was huge, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were a bit worried about having a room near the road, but at night the traffic was almost non existent and didn't affect us at all. The staff were wonderful (although the girl on the reception could come across a little friendlier at times) and helped out with a couple of problems we had including sending on my lost sunglasses that didn't get there in time from the place I had lost them!

Set in Quetzaltenango, Xelanos features accommodation with access to a garden. The property has inner courtyard views. I wasn't expecting to have a full kitchen in the room, along with some essentials such as coffee, salt and sugar for cooking breakfast. It had lots of pots and pans, along with plates, glasses, cups and silverware. The room was quite large. I expected a smaller place for the price of the room. The bed was on one side, the kitchen on the other side, and a dining area in the middle along with a couch for relaxing. The room has a private bathroom with hot shower, which is needed for the cold mornings of Quetzaltenango. The place was about 5 minute walk from central Park with the cathedral. The room was remodeled lately, in a historic area of town, so it was interesting to see how they used to build the houses a hundred years ago. They had a big pila where they still washed clothes and dishes by hand. The room is also to the back of the house, so there was no noise pollution during the night, which means that I slept very good. Also, it had a comfortable bed.

It was spacious, very well decorated and extremely clean. The beds were super comfy. A lot of little details really make this place stand out! We only had one night in Xela, but would definitely also book it for longer stays! Parking was no problem as well. Really highly recommend staying there!
