Beautiful location, plenty of space to sleep, relax, have meals plus great views. Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Finca Tres Equis - Farm and Forest offers accommodation in Tres Equis. Free private parking is available on site. We stayed in the tent and it was a fantastic experience, very comfortable and equipped with all you need (strong lights, a powerbank, wifi, safety deposit box, coffee maker with their own coffee,...). The property is easy to reach and was a perfect stop on our way from the carribbean coast to Quetzales Nationalpark. The tent is very quiet and you have an amazing view from there. Alfonso, the owner is very friendly and gave us many information how to best enjoy his hugh Finca. There are a lot of things to do and see and it would make sense to stay for a couple of nights. We spotted many nice birds from the tent and by walking around and also went to their pont at night which was a unique experience. Also the giant swing was really fun!

Nothing but nature. We had a cabin completely off the remaining part of the lodge. We spent the evening on the balcony - just listening the sounds of nature and watching the animals/birds around us. There was NOTHING around us other than woods and animals. Unbelievable experience. Also the hosts Mia and Ranzel were SO SWEET. They equipped us with vegetables from their garden and lights for the night and they were so incredibly friendly. Kitchen was greatly equipped so we could cook a nice meal in the evening. Breakfast was equally amazing with fresh eggs from the ranch and plenty of fresh fruits etc. We deeply regretted that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended.

Before we arrived I wondered if the drive was really worth for just one night. As soon as we got there I was sure that it was. The owner made us feel very welcome, cooked for us one of the best dinners we had on our trip and gave us a lot of insights into life at the finca and in Costa Rica in general. The place itself is lovely, decorated with a lot of love for details. And the view from the living room as well as our room was just stunning. If our plans had allowed, we would have loved to stay another night! Two things to keep in mind: First, the last 4 km of the road are gravel. We managed it just fine with our non-4x4 Hyundai Grand i10. We were there during the dry season and have experience taking roads like that. If in doubt ask the owner beforehand what condition the road is in. Second, the finca is at an altitude of about 1500 m. It can get pretty cool in the evening, night and morning, so bring long trousers and a jacket.

Set just 37 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Ledy's Inn provides accommodation in Turrialba with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. The apartment was very close to the center of town, but tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Great location!
