This little gem hidden back from the city is such a lovey place. It is a home stay with the most amazing manager Kate. She was so helpful and welcoming: The house is clean and comfortable and the room was nice and a very cosy feel too it. There are shared facilities, we had full use of the Kitchen and there is a toilet inside but the showers were outside, which we loved as it was in the beautiful garden and you really feel like you’re in nature. It was brilliant. The garden was full of birds and you had a view of Lake Victoria from it. The rock formations were incredible to. It’s a really special place. We needed to stay an extra night unexpectedly and Kate accommodated us. We moved to the dorm rooms and they were just as nice, very spacious with a view over the garden. We really enjoyed this little oasis and would highly recommend staying here.

The Charming Bungalows really are charming! It is located in a quiet area, rooms are very spacious and comfortable. But the highlight of the place is its staff. Everyone was very friendly and made sure that we had all that we needed and even more! Breakfast was very good (I had read other comments here that mentioned it was somewhat too small but we had more than enough!). We also needed to leave slightly earlier than breakfast time, but they kindly agreed to prepare us breakfast earlier. We also had dinner there every day, which was very practical. We highly recommend staying there and will definitely stay again at the Charming Bungalows next time we are back in Mwanza.
