Amazing location with access to the river. It's a 5 minute tuktuk drive away from the bustle and noise of the downtown area, so the environment is much more relaxing and in-tune with nature. Lots of outdoor sitting space to enjoy the view. Rhinos made the crossing in view of our room twice during our 4-day stay. Attentive staff. Laundry service was great. Food made fresh to order, with an option for packed lunch if you're going on an all-day safari. Most importantly, all of our event bookings made through the hotel were more reasonably priced than through third-party agencies (5500 rupees for a full-day jungle walk with two private guides).

Everything about our stay at the Tara guest house was spot on. We arrived to a beautiful home like place with friendly people, beautiful garden and clean room with ac, fly nets, plugs and clean bathroom. Greeted with lemonade, they kept us stocked with cold mineral water that I could use to refill my bottles and save plastic. Oh and a free walk to the village for sunset was slovenly. The food was delicious and better than any restaurant you can find on the strip in sauhara and much cheaper too. They offered us breakfast before our early bus and took us to the station in their jeep. All in all it was an amazing stay

At this homestay you feel like you are part of the family who lives here. The mum really takes care of you like you are her own child and she knows her way around the towns. The dad is a really nice chill person and guides you easily through the jungle to see the animals you'd like to see. If you are lucky of course cause the man isn't an animal whisperer. Prakash was extremely helpful and professional. He helped us book our safari tours, arranged a scooter and booked our bus tickets back to Kathmandu. Anything we needed he made it easy. The hotel is very clean and in a great location for viewing rhinos coming out of the park. It’s also a quiet location but close enough to downtown to walk.
