This is a really big flat filled with everything you need to spend some time in wonderful Salamanca. It is about 15 to minutes' walk from the Plaza Mayor. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity. The area around the flat is lively, but as the apartment itself is in a side street and the bedrooms have windows to an inner courtyard there is no problem of noise.

Located in a very clean, modern building on a quiet residential street, the spacious Chiqui Home was very convenient (on foot) to Salamanca's must-see sights, as well as an El Corte Ingles supermarket. Connecting with the hostess (who was muy simpatica) was very easy: she met us at the door and generously showed us around and instructed us on how to operate appliances, the heating system, etc. We were very impressed with the great care taken in providing a welcome basket and a bottle of chilled water, not to mention stocking the household with all imaginable necessities, including a First Aid kit. It was refreshing to encounter genuine, quality furniture rather than the standard Ikea minimalism.

The hosts were exceptional, met us at the apartment within minutes of our arrival, provided full hand over and heaps of info on salamanca, restaurants, sightseeing, getting around etc. They had prepared the room and made the sofa bed for our kids and the apartment had breakfast food, snacks, sweets, teas, coffees, toiletries and just about anything little thing they could think of to make our stay comfortable. The location was awesome, across the street from old town and so easy to stroll into the old town during the day or in the evening and such a pretty location. Car park was under building. Big props to these hosts... our best apartment from a month in Spain and Portugal.

The central square a must see and to eat at etc. A band stand was erected whilst we were there but performance halted due to a “pride” march. Otherwise enjoyed the visit. Hotel staff very helpful and a good choice of foods for breakfast.
