The host (Madelyn) allowed me to check in a couple hours earlier as the apartment was free and was always super responsive and helpful, she also runs an hostel right on the side and they provide laundry services. The apartment was cleaned and towels/linen changed every other day. The apartment itself was very well equipped, appliances, fridge, stovetop, juice blender, coffee maker, etc was the best I have seen in this type of rentals (which is usually minimal). Wifi was super fast so great if you're working remotely. Felt safe overall, the area is quiet, and monkeys pass by in the mornings. There's a supermarket just up the road and there's plenty of restaurants in walking distance. It's 30/40 min walking to playitas beach. It might seem a lot but it's a nice workout and you'll get to see a lot of wildlife on your way, specially early in the mornings, direct into a nice surf break. There's also buses 5min walking from the place in the main road that do the quepos - manuel antonio park route every 20 min for both ways, for less than a dollar each ride and a couple minutes. Also, the owner one day was going to Manuel Antonio beach and gave me a ride down and back up which was great!

Karl, the host is exceptional. One can see the genuine pride in his place. The apartments are beautifully laid out, the beds comfortable, and the setting is truly extraordinary. We spent every morning and evening enjoying the wildlife that lived in and visited the trees in front of our huge balcony. Every morning we were visited by scarlet macaws, and today we saw a flock of toucans. Each evening two kinkajou scampered in the trees. Karl provided us with a flashlight, and we loved watching these nimble critters gathering nectar. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It truly was a magical experience.

it was like a piece of heaven. The two owners of the property actually run it and they put in special care to make sure we are taken care of. They were willing to help us and all her travel questions and needs. The ambiance in the hotel was out of this world. I would highly recommend to see the beautiful beaches in Antonio in Manuel and stay here you will not regret it

We loved everything about this place! Beautiful house and pool overlooking the jungle where we saw tons of wildlife, including aras, toucans, a sloth, and many others we don’t even know the names of. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. Washing machine is nice to have on a road trip. Property manager is very friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. There is one local restaurant and a mini supermarket within walking distance (about 10 minutes up and down hilly walk). For the rest you need a car.

Manuel Antonio is a long, straggling area along a hilly road, busy with buses, lorries and vans so the Villa's position approx 200m uphill walk to 3 restaurants and 400m downhill to a road leading to the beach was pretty good. Approx 30 mins walk to National Park or bus stop for public bus available approx 200m away (outside La Cantina)

The grounds and rooms were lovely and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and A/C cold. We enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching and listening to nature. The pool was so refreshing from the heat at the end of the day. As a bonus, they have a quaint and delightful restaurant on site which served excellent breakfasts and dinners. But most of all, we loved the owners and staff. Carlos and his son Charlie made us feel so welcome!
