The price is low as compared to the hotels, it is locatied not far from the center of the city, near the beach, Ahu Tahai where you can make amazing photos of the sunset is within walking distance from the hostal. If we come back to Rapa Nui, we will book the hostal again with no doubts. Thank you very much!

This is a lovely place to stay on Rapa Nui. You are a short stroll to the center of town, to the Ahu Tahai and the ocean. Carlos and Pamela are the most gracious hosts. They will make you feel welcome and can help arrange tours, etc. You really could not ask for better hosts. The rooms are very nice and super clean, and have a small fridge. . My bed was so comfortable. The shared kitchen is spacious and clean and well equipped. There is a living room to hang out in and a nice backyard. Hostal Makohe, in my opinion, is really a step up from the usual hostal.

Excellent location. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafes are only a minute away by foot. Pathy, the hostess, was awesome. She was a big help for information about Rapa Nui. Free transport to and from the airport, which is 3 minutes away by car. You can walk to the waterfront in about 8 minutes. Tour agencies, Internet cafe, and other services are located on the same street (the main street) as the lodge. Kahina Lodge... highly recommended.
