I’m a returning guest. Linden Tree were the only ones to accommodate me during the first lockdown. Very pleased to be back as I know they are popular. I had a different room this time. A warm welcome, shown around. Place was spotlessly clean and has everything required for a comfy stay. It’s a really homely apartment. I slept really well. As long as I keep getting the work nearby, I’ll keep returning.

Everything! Sue is very kind and hospitable! The room and adjoining dressing room and bath were nicely furnished/equipped, including an electric kettle with various hot drink options. Breakfast was exceptional! Lots of choices! Yum! The property is picturesque, and the chirping birds really add to the natural ambiance. Just lovely!

The Bay Horse is an amazing place! The food was delicious, the rooms were great and the staff was extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Inn. The village is very quiet and close to our friends in Ripon. If you have not been to Thirsk or Ripon you are missing some of the finest hospitality and scenery in Yorkshire.

Standing out front you could imagine the street life of 100 years ago just by looking around you. We stayed a couple of days and wished we would have stayed a couple more as The Bakery Cottage and Thirsk are steeped in history and we didn’t get a chance to take it all in. In summary, if you’re looking for a quiet few days away with beautiful surroundings then you shouldn’t look any further than The Bakery Cottage.
