We stayed in the Wood cabin, and it was comfortable, clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet and equipped with everything you could possibly need to be self-sufficient. Sandra and David were wonderful hosts and were on hand to provide and assistance, a fabulous breakfast each morning and to start the day with a laugh (thank you David). No problems with parking, which is very secure and it's a good location to catch the steam train from Pickering to Whitby.

A very nice lady welcomed me in her lodge.She's such a lovely lady that I just have to mention it.You really feel warm and welcomed when you meet her. She really cares about her customers. The breakfast was perfect and offered all what you like.Warm food as well and a very big range for a proper breakfast. Even the interior stuff in the rooms show that she's put a lot of effort and love in decoration and furnishings. The rooms were clean and everything in this small lodge was just phenomenal! She made the best out of this small place but that's the reason why you feel so comfortable in there. Tina, just stay so nice and warm-hearted as you are and carry on the same way you've been doing so far. A seafront location in Scarborough, views of the castle, fresh sea air - what could be better? We both thought that the bed was very comfortable and ideal after a full day of activities. The breakfast was excellent - fruit, yogurt, cereals, and then a full fry up followed by toast and coffee.
