Simion, zijn vrouw Adela en hun dochter Maripas maakten ons verblijf heel bijzonder. Heel vriendelijke mensen die goed voor je willen zorgen en graag laten zien hoe zijn leven en werken. Als je wilt nemen ze je mee op wandelingen, of laten je het meer verkennen met het eiland Amantani of de drijvende eilanden van riet. Overal om je heen zie je de agrarische activiteiten. Als het aan het begin van de avond wat kouder wordt maakt Simion een kampvuur aan op de binnenplaats.

Posada de Oliver bevindt zich in Llachon en biedt gratis WiFi, een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. This was a perfect stay. Oliver, Sebastiana and their children are a lovely family who you instantly feel at home with. The room we had was spacious, private and had a beautiful view of the lake. Hot water and WiFi worked amazingly for the area and the food provided (for an extra cost, but really good value), was very tasty and varied. There are a few walks to do in the area to keep you busy, and Oliver can also take you out on his boat to some of the local islands and to see the trout farm he runs (again, for an extra fee but for what you get, we thought it was really good value for money. You have to remember you have the boat completely to yourselves and there were no other tourists on the floating island we visited, making the experience very authentic). There's a really nice outdoor seating to enjoy the sun and view. Getting there is also very easy with collectivos going regularly from Puno and Juliaca for next to nothing. Nothing could have been better. Thank you Oliver, Sebastiana, Diana and little Adele.

Quechua lodge Titicaca ligt op slechts 7 km van het uitkijkpunt Puma Uta en biedt accommodatie in Puno met toegang tot een tuin, een bar en een 24-uursreceptie. Very friendly and helpful, even though we didn't speak the language. An amazing experience.

Titicaca Chaska Wasi Amantani in Amantani biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Alle units beschikken over een balkon met uitzicht op de rivier. Our visit to Isla Amantani and our stay at Chaska Wasi with Oswaldo, Beatriz, and Jessi was the highlight of our Peru trip (yes, better than Macchu Picchu). Staying on the island at this location, gave us the peace and tranquility that we craved. The view from our room and the courtyard was absoluely breathtaking. We watched the sky and lake change throughout the day to various shades of blue. We watched lightning over the water at night. From this location, we had easy, quick access to the plaza. We were able to hike to pachamama and pachatata. This part of the island had gorgeous views and was very quiet. It was also conviently close to the boat ramp for drop off and pick up. Walking on the island and observing farming practices, happy sheep, and beautiful stone walls filled us with joy. The meals here were delicious and the portions tremendous. The family provided us with the perfect amount of attention and hospitality. We were able to interact with them and ask questions but were free to do our own thing. The experience felt VERY authentic and genuine (not fake or forced). We cannot recommend this accomodation enough. You must visit :)

Uros Lodge Lover Titiqaqa ligt in Puno met uitzicht op de stad en heeft een restaurant, een gratis shuttleservice, bar, tuin en terras. The place was great, and we got a room with a beautiful view and a nice balcony. But the best thing about the stay was probably the host Nicanor. He was very nice and attentive, picked us up at the port, made great food, and took us on a nice tour of Uros.

Maya Inn is gelegen in Puno, op 2 minuten lopen van Estadio Enrique Torres Belon, en biedt accommodatie met een terras en privéparkeren. Precies wat je nodig hebt als je een korte stop hebt in Puno! Prima ontbijt & aardig personeel.

Alberto homestay taypi qamaña establo ligt in Juli met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin, terras en speeltuin. Alberto is the best host ever!!! I loved the tranquilo place and his cooking! I recommend you to order dinner too! It’s so good! Fresh milk from cows, papas from his garden…my body was so happy to eat organic food and breath clean air! Alberto was so kind to organize my trip ! Can’t thank enough:D!!
