I had a wonderful stay at Tashkand houseboat during winter season in January 2023. Musa, the houseboat owner, is very helpful and provide very good service. Dinner at Tashkand was our best dining in Kashmir as it's fresh meat, homemade, and no MSG. If you stay here I recommend trying 1 dining at his place. The place is clean and tidy. There's towels and amenities provided. There s no heater in the bedroom but it's replaced with warmed electric blanket which works very well to keep you warm at night, especially in winter. There are free shikara ride across to main road if you paid for shikara ride trip the first or second day. It's a special deal that the houseboat made with shikara riders so you will get the best deal and save money if you get shikara trip. It was the memorable, affordable house boat price. This was such a relaxing and beautiful environment, this family who runs the business are so nice and funny!!! I came just for one night but I stayed 4 nights ! Why ? Because Nazer and Firdous made me feel at home and we have a very interesting chat about life ! Also the WiFi was working perfectly for my job and the hot water to take a shower 🚿 was perfect! The fireplace is so nice for meeting and talking about whatever! Thanks guys for your hospitality 🫶🏻 I totally recommend this place ! ( Also the price is quite good ! 👌🏻 ) 😁
