Located in the centre of Santa Marta, 600 metres from Bahía de Santa Marta Beach and 200 metres from Santa Marta Cathedral, Hostel paradise St offers free WiFi and air conditioning. Spotlessly clean throughout the room and the common areas. Fabulously comfortable beds with beautiful linens. Good towels and toiletries in the spacious bathroom which had a good rain shower and even a bidet spray. Nightstands had great lights for reading and there were many outlets at bedside and also at the desk and chair. Staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful although not much English spoken. Location is excellent, close to the action but far enough to be quiet at nights. Work is being done downstairs but I didn't hear any noise. Even when the next door restaurant had loud music closing the bathroom door made it quiet so soundproofing is excellent. Highly recommend this excellent choice.

Swimming pool is the cherry of the pie after having a trekking day. Also the three dogs Milady, Thor and German are beautiful, friendly and loving.

Located just 800 metres from Playa de Taganga, Casa MITA Taganga provides accommodation in Taganga with access to a bar, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. I loved my stay at Casa Mita. The place is a bit up the hill, so away from all the noise and very peaceful and quiet. There is a rooftop with chairs and hammocks with a lovely view over Taganga. I always loved eating my breakfast, which the owner makes himself every morning and is very tasty, up there. I had booked the biggest room and it was so spacious that it almost felt like a little apartment. The bed is incredibly comfortable. There is also a kitchen you can use to cook for yourself that has all the basic kitchenware you need. The owner himself is a lovely guy who truly goes out of his way to take care of his guests and is always ready to lend a helping hand. I can definitely recommend staying at Casa Mita when you are in Taganga.

Yacki is an amazing host, very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed - kitchen is very well equiped, has all the utilities, crockery and fridge. The bed was comfortable, and the location is very good - about 7 mins by walk from the centre. The last bit of walk is uphill, but it’s just a very short distance that is challenging, around 200 metres. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and in addition there is a bunch of very fridndly pets (cats and dogs) which are just impossible not to pet🤗 Yacki gave us water for cooking on first day which was very nice of her and kept us well informed about electricity shutdowns and water cuts. It’s not our first time in the area, and we understand that it is normal in Santa Marta region. Yacki also made sure we had everything we needed every day and offered cleaning.
