the exterior was historically beautiful, we had both apartments 4a and b and they were great for different reasons. Both apartments were well stocked with everything we needed. Blow dryer, iron and the Owner Nicole left us a nice gift of wine and snacks. She went above and beyond to offer gluten free snacks when I mentioned I was gluten intolerant. Amazing. There were some stairs walking up to apartments and both apartments were multilevel, could be an issue for some, but not for us.

Beautiful, cosy, charming place. The property itself is very clean, convenient and well-maintained, close to all the attractions of Varenna. There is a parking nearby. Thank you, Alessandra, for a warm welcoming!

A absolutely wonderful sat right across from the lake. Great bed and bathrooms. You have a side yard all to yourself with lake views! Way better than any hotel you could get. Kitchen was awsome that she stocked with snacks. Already planning our next stay here

Mauro's Villa is close enough to the train station and town to be convenient, yet far enough to be a sanctuary from the crowds. Stunning views of the lake and Alps from the balcony and room. Delightful conversations with the hosts and a delicious breakfast. Best shower we've had all trip! Will definitely stay here again when we return.

Comfortable bed, very friendly hosts who drove us to the station as we were late for our train. Breakfast was very pleasant and the location was superb, a few minutes from the ferry and train station.

The location is exceptional. Close to the ferry and the train station. The manager, Sina, is amazing. Always available and very helpful. The room was beautiful, clean with an amazing view. The restaurant had a lot of options for breakfast and the staff extremely pleasant, especially Valentina. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended.
