The bungalow apartment is new (6 months) very nice and well equipped (fan + AC + kitchen). It’s in a very calm neighborhood in nature. The host is very nice and friendly, he understands English and his wife speaks English. He’s very careful to speak slowly and with easy words if you want to train your Spanish :) Good breakfast with typical galo pinto + eggs and something else that changes + tea or coffee. We enjoyed our stay :)

The arrangement of things in the room, the cleanliness of the space, the free coffee (yummy), the attention to details in the rooms, the helpful owner, and so many things. Such a great place. The owner was very responsive and even helped drop-off my friend at the airport for a minimal charge at 4:30 AM.

Hospedaje Rio Celeste Katira, Habitación privada is a recently renovated apartment in San Rafael, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Loved everything about this place. So spacious, affordable, and got to experience how locals live in that area. The best part was our hosts, Maria and Rafa. They’re so kind and helpful and I’m so happy to be contributing to the local economy, rather than foreign-owned overly priced hotels.
