If you don't need breakfast or daily cleaning service, this place offers incredible value for the money and feels more than a small Airbnb than a hotel, since the room included a sofa, a table, and a kitchen. Everything was clean and check-in/check-out went very smooth for us. The location right in Gion is also perfect, as I think Gion is one of the best areas in Kyoto at night.

The place is clean and new. Can cook and do laundry. Free snacks was a welcome surprise.

The room was quite big and the tatami area very beautiful. Overall we had a great stay. The area is extremely typical and quite, but only a 10 minutes wall from Pontocho. We'll definitely come back if happen to be in the area!

He was very very kind and friendly, and explained the room with very good details. He also helped in calling the taxi for us after checkout. Highly recommend as he can accommodate guests in English.
