This hotel is stunning! Everything about it is pure luxury. Decked out in marble, the rooms and facilities are incredible. The owner owns a marble quarry, so the design of the hotel is fully fitted out in marble. It is rare and world class. The daily breakfast was impeccable and the servers were so kind and spoke in French, English and Portuguese. The staff went over and above and we booked in a wine tasting with the chef of the restaurant and it was amazing!!
Troia Design Hotel 5 star

Located in Troia, this 5-star hotel has a unique design and faces the Sado River Estuary. It features a casino, a spa and 2 outdoor swimming pools. Large room with little living room area and great view of the island. Bed was comfy, little kitchen was supplied with kitchenware on request, large bathroom with bath and shower. Apart from the sofa you wouldn't be able to guess the age of the room, it was very good. Staff were always super helpful. Check-in and reception staff speak and understand English without any problems. Some language issues with breakfast/bar staff, but nothing major.

Very comfortable hotel with plenty of Portuguese character and charm. We were lucky to have a mountain view room from which we enjoyed a stunning sunrise. Easy parking outside the hotel although the road through the town is very narrow.

The grounds were just beautiful, and the room was large, gorgeous, and comfortable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, and the complimentary tour of the buildings was great. Just sorry we couldn't spend more time there!

The staff are amazing and helpful, we broke down 5mins away and they went above and beyond to help us from organising the mechanic to making sure we had everything we needed and recommended places to eat etc making our stay stress free. Also the interior design and building in general is beautifully done, great use of vintage furniture and modern styling 👌🏻
