Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Beautiful gardens, short walk into town, great communal kitchen in addition to wonderfully stocked kitchenette. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Would 100% recommend to anyone heading to Takaka!

El Ratanui Lodge, situado en el corazón de la playa de Pohara, en Golden Bay, fue totalmente reformado en invierno de 2021. Very well appointed room in lovely location and our restaurant meal was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with activities in the area.

Woodland eco retreat se encuentra en Parapara. Heather met us when we arrived (was dark the time we got there) to help carry our bags and show us the way. They had kindly lit the the fire for us so was nice and warm on our arrival. We will definitely be back.
