I found this hotel one of the best we have stayed in , the food is excellent ,the breakfast is well worth the price and so is the dinner ,the staff are very helpful and professional , the location is perfect with access to the metro and walking to the centre along a main shopping street also buses nearby... the room was ideal the bed perfect ....what more can i say !!

A small cafe where you can get soups, salads, sandwiches and drinks is an added bonus. The staff is very friendly and helpful- they organise the taxi transfers, tours...and answer all the questions you might have.

Often, the value of actual hospitality is underrated in the hospitality industry, and it's overshadowed by fancy facilities and frills. Not at Gran Hotel, where the staff treats you like their own guest. They are warm and will go out of their way to help you out. Oh, and the hotel itself is a heritage site with exceptional facilities & a location to kill for! Absolute, must visit. If I am ever in Mexico City again, I am staying at Gran for sure.

The location is one of the best in Mexico City. It's secure and in front of the Presidential Palace. The staff were so friendly and kind. I will return but with my kids to enjoy with the whole family.

Visit "pueblos mágicos" around Mexico DF, you won´t regret it.
It is such a vibrant city with loads of things to do and see. I would strongly recommend people to visit it. Mexican culture, cuisine, clothing, traditions, etc, have always intrigues me, so Mexico DF is a good first taste to it. PLEASE GO TO THE "PUEBLOS MAGICOS" around the city, they are incredibly unique.

Safer, cleaner, friendlier than you think! The air is much better than it was. You can have the best taco on the planet on the street for fifty cents. The Metro will get you anywhere and it's quite walkable. Would stay out of many areas at night though-crime remains a problem. No reason to ever be bored in Mexico DF! Chaos and beauty and fascinating history! Possibly the most stimulating city in the world.
