The location is very close to Bayeux (5km)and also close to Arromanches and the beaches. Nevertheless the estate lies by its own, away from any traffic and noise, all by itself in a very peaceful and scenic area surrounded by fields, meadows and the typical hedgerows of Normandy. The buildings have been fully restored and used to be a huge farm with a cheese production. Some works and finetuning is still ongoing, the new owners opened just a month ago.(05/2023) The breakfast was very good and rich with local food. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

Hotel la piscine has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Villers-sur-Mer. During our long first week-end trip with our 1,5 year toddler in a hotel, we were lucky to stay in a place where everybody feels welcome and can feel comfortable. The entire place was spotless clean so our little one could walk around without any issue. During 4 days we met great people, young and older couples, families. The owners and staff went above and beyond to help. This place is super inclusive and chill. We didn't use the pool but it looked perfect and the water was not cold at all ! There was also a sauna and petanque field. Games and books were available downstairs. All the time there was some good music playing on the terrace. We had dinner every night downstairs while our toddler was sleeping: tapas, amazing paella, tapas and planche, barbecue. And a new barman makes the most amazing, large and loaded cocktails. The bed was super comfortable and the apartment is well organised. The little kitchen came in handy. Everything was no nonsense but super comfortable into the details. This place is a hidden gem! Thierry et épouse, merci bcp, ne changez surtout rien.

La Maison de Mathilde is set in Bayeux, 100 metres from Baron Gerard Museum and 200 metres from Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry. The room was lovely and clean. For breakfast, there was coffee, juice, breads, yogurts, and American offerings like bacon and eggs. The location is near the cathedral, tour pick-ups, and many restaurants. We walked from the train station but taxis are available. Bayeux is a must-see. Don't miss the famous tapestry.

The garden grounds were enjoyable to take short walks, enjoy the flowers and view green grass outside the room. We stayed in the suite, I would recommend it for every one to enjoy the pleasure of a well appointed and comfortable room.
