The location was perfect and the service was exceptional. Such friendly and caring staff who were so welcoming and helpful! Our room was on the top floor. It was charming, quiet, clean and comfortable. For Biarritz, the price was very good especially given the proximity to the beach and the core. It was a 9 minute walk to the market in the morning.

Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. We were upgraded to a lovely room in the chateau itself with stunning views over the surrounding country side and the nearby chateaus of Beynac and Les Milandes. The breakfast was entirely adequate with a good choice and the restaurant was excellent, beautifully presented food by friendly and attentive staff.

Beautiful Bordeaux is well worth a visit with lots to see & do. Great night life with bustling bars & restaurants in the Saint Pierre district. Be sure to check out the Aquitaine Museum & the Cite du Vin, as well as the many fab cathedrals & churches throughout the city. If you get a chance try to catch a wine tour of the Saint Emilion region. Would recommend checking out the tourism office for tips & advice & booking of tickets on wine tours.

Perfect combination of beautiful architecture, parks, river Garonne, wine and good food. Looks like a small Paris, but much more confortable to visit, cycle, sit in many terraces and look at the river. Museum of Comtemporary Art or of Aquitaine region. Cité du Vin and nearby castles (châteaux) for wine-tasting.

I came to see the "Venus of Laussel" at musee d' Aquitaine, and there she was! They also displayed beautiful items from ancient Roman life in the area. I took an interesting wine tour, too.

Bordeaux is in the process of reinventing itself.
Bordeaux is in the process of reinventing itself. The riverfront was phenomenal and allowed for many uses. It was fun to walk around the various neighborhoods in the city. We visited the Aquitaine museum; it was fascinating to see the history in one place. We enjoyed learning more about Eleanor of Aquitaine, a learned and powerful woman.

A very interesting city with an equally interesting countryside. New wine museum is extremely well done. Cathedral well worth a visit. Aquitaine Museum merits a whole day, which we did not have, so must return! Saint- Emilion day trip fantastic!

This time we had a downstairs apartment and it had some benefits as well, as coming and going was very convenient. We enjoyed very much the large balcony with the outdoor grill. The location and the setting of the apartments is wonderful.

Zero stairs from the entrance to the room: 1,2,7&8 share that feature. The staff managed to transform a hotel that usually had a beach feel to a cozy holiday chalet virtually overnight. Breakfast (13€) featured excellent gâteau basque cerise and brebis cheese. Solid dinner choices were but a short walk away.

Excellent location. Near to everything. I got a room upgrade upon arrival. The room/apt was spacious, spotless and well equipped, with all the necessaries in the kitchen and even a dish washer. The location was fantastic right in front of the sea in front of the main promenade. Our room was amazing with a huge balcony an sun loungers overlooking the pool with an amazing view of Hondarriba in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We did not eat in the hotel as we decided to get a water taxi for €2.30 each across to Hondarriba which was buzzing with atmosphere and plenty of gastronomical delights to choose from. We really enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool which was included in our room price. This was amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have as long as we wanted here as the hotel receptionist on the morning of departure could strangely only organise our taxi for a certain early time although we requested it after check our time so we could fully avail of the Thalassotherapy pool. We thought that she could have been a bit more helpful as the staff on the previous day were extremely nice and understanding and helpful. The hotel breakfast buffet breakfast was quite pricey for us, even the cheaper option of the coffee/croissant was €8 but there are plenty of cafes nearby to choose from. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

Great accommodation with everything you could need and a big comfortable bed with lovely linens . Big shout out to the housekeeping staff . How they manage to keep everything so immaculate with sand and grit all around the facility is a triumph . They deserve a medal ! Fabulous restaurant with great food and wine choices and caring attentive staff . They were all so kind and generous to us . Made our anniversary a very special and memorable night ! Perfectly situated with supermarket , boulangerie , restaurants all within walking distance and lovely cycle tracks and walks on the door step . We took the dog to Truc Verte which was beautiful . We didn’t use the spa but it looked beautiful We can’t recommend this wonderful place highly enough.

The wooden chalets were spaced apart enough to give you the feel of being in the forest. The chalet was perfectly adequate for two people. There was sleeping accommodation for four people but it would have felt overcrowded with four people.
