El Birches Cottage está situado en un camino de grava, a 5 km de la localidad de Underberg. It’s amazing views and proximity to the river, as well as how comfortable everything was.

I enjoyed it being so secluded from pretty much everywhere with little to no signal! It’s a good place to escape from the city life with breathtaking views wherever you would look. The owners hospitality was exceptional and you felt very welcomed!

Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and the whole property is beautiful.

El Three Tree Hill Lodge ofrece vistas a la reserva de caza de Spioenkop y alojamiento de lujo. Cuenta con una terraza junto a una pileta al aire libre. Three Tree Hill Lodge is located pretty far away from the city where I stayed while in 🇿🇦, though 5 hours on a car were worth it. Vast amount of space for hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. The place is beautiful and full of various plants. Being situated on a farm all the food is home made and is prepared for your choosing from a list. I really fell in love with the view from Churchill’s lodge and the lodge itself was amazing. Despite being made in an old style I found it a nice thing to get away from modern design for 2 days. The service was great as well: they offer coffee, tea, lemonade throughout the day and three meals per day which I found decent. Also would like to say that people there are very friendly: if something bothers you they will help and if you just want to have a conversation you will definitely have a great one! They also accept banking cards there (ApplePay works as well, which was great because I didn’t take any cards with me😂)
