Hotel Suiza, hotel in Arzúa

Set 80 metres from the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage Route and a 30-minute drive from the city, Hotel Suiza is located just outside the village of Arzúa. It features a restaurant and a garden.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel. The rooms are spacious, but extremely basic. The beds were fine, and so was the bathroom. It was clean too. My husband and I stayed here as part of our Camino. The hotel is not situated in the centre, so it isn't easy to buy supplies if you need them. The hotel restaurant is absolutely fine, and they offer a nice selection of food , and wine. Breakfast was included for us, and that was delicious.

Perfect location for my purposes. A few places to eat right out front. Connected with the Aulberg next door so you can use the laundry machines there.

Hotel A Curuxa Wellness, hotel in Arzúa

Located in Arzúa, 39 km from Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, Hotel A Curuxa Wellness provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

This is such a great place to stay during the Camino. It’s a bit outside the center of town, but a short taxi ride will take you there in minutes. The room was nice, clean, and modern, with a great bed and everything you need to be comfortable. The pool was a big plus for us; the cold water was the best medicine for our tired legs. We slept so well, and the next day we were rested and ready to continue. They have a bar/restaurant which is great for chilling on the terrace. Also, the girl at reception was super nice and helpful with organizing our taxi the next day and attending to our questions and requests. Loved our stay here!

1930 Boutique Hotel, hotel in Arzúa

Located in Arzúa, 38 km from Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, 1930 Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

This place is a high-quality and high-class boutique hotel of the properly good type. It would fit into Relais Cheateaux. We wish we’d spent two nights here and taxi’s from/to the end of the previous stage. Whole place is ridiculously cute and thought out.

Albergue Vía Láctea, hotel in Arzúa

Situated in Arzúa, 38 km from Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, Albergue Vía Láctea features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar.

The cleanliness is what stood out initially. I arrived earlier than planned (from the camino de santiago) & as I waited in the foyer to checkin, the young lady was still cleaning- thoroughly!! Good sign straight up! The owner is a friendly, welcoming man. He was patient with my limited Spanish 😊 I had the option of any bed on the 1st floor. The room was bright, very spacious & so clean.. including the shared bathroom (big shower cubicles with amazing shower heads) I shared with 7 other women - men where in the next room. Huge dining space, good size kitchen & full washing facilities out back- with a lovely outdoor courtyard area to relax & hang the washing! This is one of the "better" albergues along the camino de santiago. Within walking distance to eateries (can highly recommend IlFornaccio- true italian pizza) & central shopping strip. Muchas gracias!

I was greeted by a girl who I think was called Jenny.

I was greeted by a girl who I think was called Jenny. (From Romania). Her cheerfulness struck me as she showed me around and informed me about all the facilities. Many hours later I saw her greeting more guests with the same cheerful enthusiasm and wondered how she could still be so pleasent after all the people she had seen. She is a real bonus to the hostel.
