Deolinda is a wonderful and welcoming host who made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. She greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of the house, and even had the wood stove running in advance—a thoughtful gesture, especially since temperatures were close to zero at night despite it being mid-March. The house itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with charming details like fresh flowers on the towels. We also appreciated the bowl of sweets and fruits she had prepared, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The rooms were cozy, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated Deolinda's hospitality and attention to detail. We would happily return!

Olga and Rui, and their Son Riccardo, welcomed us like we were long lost friends. The cottage is very lovely and has everything you could need. Fresh bread was brought to us daily, fresh fruit, cheese and meat for our breakfast. The views from the cottage are stunning and early one morning, I glanced out of the window and there were clouds around the rooftops. It was magical! Olga and Rui invited us to join them for evening coffee at the community hall with the locals. We enjoyed this so much. Everyone was so welcoming and they are all very friendly people. We will miss our evening chats. We highly recommend Casas dos Carregais. We stayed there for 4 nights and were sad to leave. Book your stay there and you won’t be disappointed! We’ll definitely stay in touch with Olga and Rui. Friends for life.
