The property was immaculately presented and maintained. On a working orchard where fruit was readily available to pick and consume also sit and relax amongst, the entire stay is rated one of the very best we have ever experienced. The original Portuguese village made it feel like we were transported back in time, beautifully renovated with luxury products, finishes and furniture left us not wanting for anything more. The hotel was full however never once felt crowded - amazing selection at breakfast with a wonderful view over the property and valley below. Our family of four adults were very comfortable spending time together, with plenty of individual activities and areas to explore roaming always in awe of the natural beauty of the village and grounds. There wasn’t anything the staff wouldn’t do to assist in maximising our experience. Cooking facilities in the villas along with community kitchen and cooking for outdoor alfresco options were immaculately keeled and readily available for use. The pool zone was tranquil with flowing mountain spring water keeping it cool for the summer days. (High temperatures in the region of 39-40 degree heat plenty of shade to protect from the sun) Conveniently location near the Douro River and vineyards. The kind gift of arrival of in-house Blueberry Jam and teas was amazing also the signature bottle of white wine was a lovely and welcomed treat which was chilled and enjoyed after a long day of exploring the region on the warm summer night in our private courtyard. We could not fault our four night stay and can not wait to return on our next trip to visit family in the region.

Wow, what an exceptional surprise. We booked this accommodation the day before and were absolutely thrilled with it. Greeted by Maria, although we didn’t share a language she made sure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious and comfortable, lovely pool and an unmatched peacefulness only broken by the church bells. The rooms are in the vineyard and it was exceptional value for money. Nicely equipped kitchen although I would recommend taking any food supplies before you arrive as there is not very much locally. Lovely restaurant fairly close by although we used the facilities and self catered. Absolute bliss

    Nice premises with a private pool, garden and big balcony. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Great place for travelers who like the privacy. The host Helena was great and welcoming, though English communication could have been a bit smoother. But her son was available as well over phone. The welcoming wine was offered. We enjoyed our stay, especially the nice sunsets on a big balcony.

    the property ia very clean, neat and very comfy, we loved the kitchen so much. The view from the villa were ao beautiful. Too bad we only stayed for one night, if we have a chance we surely wanna go back again. staff also very nice and very helpful
