it was a surprise for us. Modern, lovingly furnished house with a large kitchen. fully equipped with everything you need. Fly screens in front of the windows, deck chairs in the garden, everything is great and Laura is the perfect hostess. We were able to relax well for the 3 days. If we're nearby, we'll definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Thistle Cottage Alojamento Local last weekend! We’d like to sincerely thank the hosts for their flexibility with the check-in time — our flight to Porto was delayed, and it was such a relief to be welcomed warmly despite our late arrival. The cottage itself is very nice, comfortable, and peaceful — the perfect place to relax and enjoy a quiet getaway. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, and we felt right at home. We loved our stay at casa Penafalcão! The location was awesome right next to a beautiful creek.. very quiet and pretty village. The house itself was fantastic, cozy, clean and all amenities provided (even food in the pantry and some welcome cakes in the kitchen). Beautiful house in quiet village and only 20mins drive from a range of shops. We were a family of four and the house was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of plates, pans and cutlery. There was a large fridge and freezer and washing machine which were both very useful. The house was spotless and Josè was an excellent host. The outdoor area is fantastic with BBQ, kitchen area and plenty of seating. The saltwater pool and 2 very large umbrellas were very welcome in the heatwave we experienced as was the very efficient air conditioning. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house for a wonderful stay.
