One of the best places to stay in Lugano. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and light! The atmosphere was very cozy. Breakfast had a lot of dishes to choose from and the hosts were very polite and show real interest in their clients. Also the room was in a very good area situated making it perfect for our 2 day stay.

Hotel is located near to railway station, easy to reach. Very nice territory,with outdoor pool and ability to take sunbath between grape yards, if you are coming in the right season. Welcoming and helpful personel, found the answers to all our travel related quastions

You simply can’t beat the value for money this hotel offers. The location is unbeatable — right next to the funicular that connects directly to the Lugano main SBB station (and possibly other destinations, though I only used it for the station). There’s also a wide variety of restaurants and shops just steps from the hotel. Despite its compact size, the hotel has a great little gym, and my room — which faced the funicular — was surprisingly quiet. I slept like a baby! If you're a light sleeper, the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs and a welcome chocolate in the room. A really nice touch: I received the Ticino Ticket by email on the day of arrival, giving me free access to most public transportation and discounts at various attractions. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Thank you all for your kindness, thoughtful touches, and excellent recommendations — you made my visit even more memorable!

We loved our stay at the Locanda! The location is ideal if you want to enjoy the magic of Castagnola. Lugano's lively centre is about a 30-minute walk away, so the hotel is located in a much quieter part of the city, with charming streets and fantastic views. There is also a public transport stop right next to the hotel. The beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and tidy. Hotel staff is the best! We felt really welcomed. They also helped us with recommendations on what to see and what not to miss. Check-in process and all other communucation with them was super easy. A wonderful experience! We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

    We came a third time at the lovely villa. Location is very nice, garden is great and pool is a beauty. Historical building is very beautiful, 80-ies interior can use some freshing-up but has nice character. Breakfast is nearly perfect. Parking is good and practicle, very nice for a one-day stop on route or for a short stay on lake Lugano. Rooms are good. Large bed, good bathroom, interior is basic but good enough.
