Amazing facilities - there's Amazon prime to watch, nice futon beds, hot showers with a tub, and very big and spacious home. Location is amazing too. 5mins to the beach!!

Situated in Shizuoka, 48 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Backpackers Hostel TSUBAMENOYADO features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This was by far my favourite stay on my Japan trip. The hostel is incredibly comfortable and peaceful located in a small, quiet village. The owners are very kind and easy to communicate with. I was welcomed by the owner’s wife, who was very kind and spoke English well, so it was easy to communicate even though I don’t speak any Japanese. I got clear instructions on how to check in, what to do in the area, etc. What really stood out is how incredibly clean the hostel was. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen, as was the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with rice, tea, sauces available for use. The convenience store is literally next to the hostel, so it was also easy to buy groceries and there was a microwave, rice cooker, hob and kettle all available in the hostel. The shower was great (amazing water pressure) and they had towels, as well as other cosmetic products available at the reception. The beds were large and comfortable and the room was a good size. Overall, I could not have imagined a better stay and for the price, it was definitely worth it. I only wish I could have stayed longer! I highly recommend this hostel!

The hosts, Romey and Hi-chan are amazing people. Friendly, caring and creative. They make you feel at home the moment you step in. There is a festive mood. The locals also like to have some food and drink at the Eat & stay and it is very easy to have a great time. The surroundings are beautiful, it is very quiet and peaceful. The sea & the mountains: outstanding. 10/10 <3!

Located in Shimoda and only 400 metres from Irita Beach, Guesthouse Papaya provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. I had an amazing stay in Shimoda! The place was wonderfully authentic, with a charming atmosphere that felt uniquely local. The beach was just a short walk away, and there was a nearby restaurant serving excellent food—definitely a highlight of my trip. The landlord was incredibly kind and accommodating, even driving me to the train station after my stay. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and genuine experience.

Located in Higashiizu, 35 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 has a private beach area, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The host is super nice and friendly! The room is out of our expectations! We would like to stay for another time!

Located just 7.8 km from Shizuoka Station, Nihon Iro offers accommodation in Shizuoka with access to an open-air bath, free bikes, as well as a housekeeping service. I liked this hotel very much, on arrival it was a little out of the way from Shizuoka city. but the staff was very warm and friendly and helped us with our luggage and check in process was smooth. The room was huge and we loved the separate eating area and rooms. the projector was a nice touch and kept our family entertained. The bathtub was huge and we loved that we could open the door so it was not too stuffy. The wooden tub is a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing and well thought of with all the local dishes and everything was prepared in the room. Overall a wonderful stay with a peaceful and beautiful location!

Situated in Minamiizu and only 100 metres from Yumigahama Beach, Villa Yumigahama features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We were all amazed by this place. Both the grown ups and the nine-year-old agreed we would have liked to spend our whole holiday here if we could. Two nights was not enough for this fairy tale. Fantastic service, amazing rooms surrounded by wonderful nature, great view and lovely terraces. The lovely host provided a hot pizza oven and home-made pizza dough for us to make pizza on the terrace. A wonderful experience. A warm table grill was equally nice the next night. The host was much more helpful and accommodating than could be expected. And sent us off with lots of great tips that even made the rest of our journey better.

Featuring a spa bath, J-Garden is located in Ito. Each accommodation at the 2-star guest house has inner courtyard views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath. The hosts took care of us and met us at the station and also gave us a lift on the way back. They do not speak English but communicate via google translator so this is not an issue. The property looks very unusual, feels like in a fairy tale) there is a private onsen available which we did not use as it was too hot (we were in summer). There is also the possibility to take onsen in the room so we utilised it as a foot onsen which was really appreciated after hikes along the Yogasaki coast. The train station is within 20 mins walk and one can use it to explore the Izu peninsula coast. We had a sea view from our room.

Torinami Fuji View House provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 41 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 43 km of Fuji-Q Highland. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel – the atmosphere is warm, stylish, and relaxing. The staff were always friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. Excellent service and a great vibe make this place easy to recommend!
