What impressed us most of all was the friendly and very attentive staff. Special mention to Corinne and Simon. We requested a late check out and they immediately obliged. Because of this, we were still able to visit Villefranche sur mer before we checked out. The location was perfect for us, near the train station, because we took the train to other towns from the apartment. Our studio was very comfortable with complete amenities. I like that they are very serious with being eco-friendly. Definitely a must to stay at once we go back to Nice. I have already suggested Maison Lamartine to others!

I love this place! There is absolutely nothing to complain about! It's a converted residence with one ground floor room and 3 more up a winding staircase. He speaks adequate English. At 25€ (single, mid-May, no breakfast), it's an outstanding value, too. I enjoyed it so much I stayed 3 nights. When there was no availability on the 2nd night, Pascal gave me his room.The four rooms share two bathrooms, half and three-quarter. There is a full shared kitchen/lounge, including an oven and cooking equipment, suitable for preparing full meals. Wi-fi is excellent. There is a constant supply of coffee and tea, a generous set of herbs and spices, ice cubes, and garden lemons. The description says towels and linens cost extra. This is true for towels but linens are included. The rear surroundings are lushly green and the residential street is very quiet. There is a small balcony for smoking or sitting and the large front yard has tables and chairs. There is ample, free street parking. Shopping and the beach are a long walk away, but there is good bus service. Guests should be aware that the rooms do not have external locks so they're accessible when not occupied but I had absolutely no sense of theft danger. If you. like me, don't like standard hotels, this place is for you!
