This resort was ideally located in Haad Yao close to the main beach and very modern spacious rooms with a lap pool close to the onsite restaurant overlooking the beach itself, where food and drinks were served at reasonable prices
The double bed was one of softest and comfiest beds I have slept in whilst travelling Asia which was very much appreciated. There was a 7 Eleven store walking distance close by as well as a few cafes and restaurants which was very handy.
Staff were very polite and very helpful in organising my return trip back with taxi and ferry tickets back to Koh Samui Airport that made everything very easy and very seamless.
I would be more than happy to return here as I found the location very appealing as it is more relaxed vibe on the North West side of Koh Phangan away from the young party goers in the south.
Tip: For those looking for a more peaceful holiday. Make sure you don't arrive on Full Moon Beach party day (held once a month) as the crowds and ferries / transport is chaotic on arrival on Koh Phangan and very hard to find any motos to hire anywhere on the island. Better to stay 2 days after this event when everything goes much quieter,

It’s very close to great restaurants & cafes, also the beach. There are taxis waiting in the main road. 7/11 is 2 mins by walking. Nearest laundry is also around 1 min by walk. The internet is good if you are a digital nomad like me. Prior to the checkin I received a small tour guide that shows activities in the island. All in all, it was very comfortable, the AC worked great and the staff were very helpful.
Built into a cliff on Haad Yao, west of Phangan Island, the High Life Bungalow has Balinese and Thai-style accommodations with steps leading down to the beach.

I had such a pleasant stay that I decided to stay longer. The team was always very friendly and it made me feel like home. I also really enjoyed the healthy breakfast every morning to get a lot of energy before visiting the island. The resort has plenty of beautiful trees and plants that keep the air fresh and shaded areas to relax. I mostly used the pool to cool down after a long warm day. I'd like to thank Tom and all the rest of the team for taking good care. I hope to be back soon.

Haad Yao has so many beautiful beaches that have an immense amount of underwater life. Be wary that some of the beaches though are rock / crushed coral based so they can hurt under foot / be slippery navigating. If you can pack reef shoes with you along with your snorkel it would be fantastic. We came to the island for my kids to learn scuba and dive at Sail Rock. We went with Asia Blue and the service was brilliant - they picked us up and dropped us back every day. The instructors and guides were all very patient, informative and have deep passion for the ocean. When we didn’t eat at the resorts restaurant we used delivery KPG as I didn’t have a method of transport we could all fit in safely. Every to ing we got was tasty from burgers, to pizza to Thai. It was delicious! If you plan on walking around just be mindful Koh Phangan is very hilly.

Very quiet area, only 3 or 4 places to eat or get a drink, the beach is beautiful but too shallow to swim in, nice to sit in though.
Most of the hotels / restaurants sell the same food but not grate food apart from the Italian restaurant called loco I think, the food was outstanding and not overly expensive and the staff where brilliant.

The area is picturesque and at least when we were there uncrowded, quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of choices for places to eat and stay. Several restaurants are perched on the hillsides and have spectacular views of the beach and gulf. There is a 7-11, a dive operation, and a motorbike repair shop. A number of businesses were closed due Covid-depressed tourism.

The Haven resort has the most stunning terrace and watching the sunset at night was magical. the food and staff were amazing and our host Vincent could not do enough for us. the resort is very hilly, so a scooter if confident enough is ideal, otherwise a taxi at 200 baht and they are plentiful. the choice of beaches are countless, loads of restaurants. avoid the swanky ones as they are over priced and not that good in our opinion. the small rustic ones are half there price and food is the best by far. The Haven resort is an absolute must for visitors, whether staying there or just dining there. the sunset views were the best I have ver had!

Beautiful white sandy beach.
Beautiful white sandy beach. The beach the very clean and not too busy. Lots of bars and restaurants to try out. There’s also lots to do on the beach if you don’t want to just sunbathe, there’s yoga, paddleboard, kayaking, etc. Also the sunsets are amazing from this beach!
THE BEST RESORT EVER!!
I’ve been in Koh Phangan twice so I knew before I came here that I want to stay at this location whete all the best beaches are and coffee shops as well. Everything was just perfect. The stuff is so lovely and helpful (especially Sai). The room is very clean and have beautiful balcony, the pool and restaurant area are so beautiful and there’s also billiards table and ping pong table! and the beach.. so nice and clean. you can rent your motorcycle here though. seriously you should stay here as long as you can!
Pool side family size bungalows were great and hard to find in other parts of Thailand. Staff are very attentive and good fun to engage; especially Tom who gave us plenty of background information on Thai life. Short walk to the beach with many drinking and eating options. Beach in the perfect direction to watch the sunset with a Chang beer or cocktail while the kids play on the swings. We liked the breakfast format, which was different to other hotels. The laundry service was good value.
The largest resort on the beach, this place has everything you need. Nice rooms, right on the beach, a scooter rental place, a convenience store that's open till late, and a restaurant and attached massage place. My room was in the building up near the back road -- my shower was fantastic. And being able to drive up there and park right at the room was super convenient. The staff were super friendly, too.
The proximity to the beach was amazing. We caught some amazing sunsets there, while enjoying food from the Coco Locco beachfront restaurant. The shower was great, had decent pressure and got nice and warm. The room was really spacious and nice for a standard double, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
J.B. Hut is always a very good choice if you are on Koh Phangan.
Been there 5 Years ago and now the second time. Good Food, friendly Staff and a really nice ocean view.
Only a couple of minutes to some Restaurants, 7 Eleven, Coffee Shops and the Beach.
I will come back again for shure :)
The staff are absolutely amazing people, every one of them. The food and drinks were excellent as well. The beach is beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars that you can stroll down the Sandy beach to. It is a very family friendly place too if you have children.
The resort is situated right in front of the Haad Yao beach which makes it quite convenient. The pool area is nice. The hotel looks newly built, but the rooms are very simple with only the most necessary stuff inside. You generally get what you pay for.
If you going to stay in Haad Yao - location is good. I personally prefer sea view from little distance, not straight on the beach. So for me it's +. For not experienced in SEA might seem a bit authentic. Generally I consider as good value for money.
As a solo traveler with no motorbike, location was great. there is 7/11, a couple of restaurants, atm, and also some beach bars in short walking distance. the bar of the hotel is really pretty and fun to sit in, also in the morning. staff was nice.
The bunk beds were super soft and clean by backpacker standards, perfect for sinking into after a day out into the water, but the hotel's also the right spot if you're more the type to leisurely look at the beach from the comfort of your balcony.
Fabulous location on Haad Yao Beach, beautiful property and rooms, super comfy beds, great breakfast, friendly and lovely staff. I have returned to stay here more than once and always enjoyed it very much.
the shower had hot water

Simple but nice bungalows, 2min away from haad yao beach. Staff is chill, bar is cute, whole area has a nice vibe. Everything was clean and as described.
